Try doing a search on here for a program called, send file. You should be able to get the web address from that to download the Program.

I think you have to disable OBEX inside fMA

Hi!

This would be the answer for anybody having problems with T230 and DCU-11.

Since I'm more of a self-lerner, I tested almost anything that could be related to that connection.

So, to get this thing working, first should be: Get the Float's Mobile Agent (http://fma.sourceforge.net)(got version 1.0.0.35)
Second: Go into the FMA's Options.
Set baud rate to 9.600, RTS and DTR to Enabled
Then set Obex Enabled, IRMcSync Disabled, check Do not retrieve files-folders). Don not forget to set the same COM port as Windows assigned to you cable (this coud be seen in hardware panel).

That should be it.

If FMA still says that the Obex is busy, restart the phone, reconnect to the cable, or in worst case restart the computer.

Then simply use upload and when FMA sais "Check the phone for instructions" then check the phone (This means, take a look on a phone's screen ). Don't do it the way I did...i thought that something is wrong and I uninstalled-reinstalled everything.

Pictures, (GIF, JPG, WBMP), ringtones (MIDI,AMR), themes (THM) and games (MPN) can be uploaded to phone.

Pictures size is 101*80, the best program to use is Irfan View (has many image manipulation functions, resize, crop etc.) You just have to save pics in GIF format.

In comparison, pics manipulated in IV (GIF)take about 10-15 kb's, pictures that are uploaded from SE Image Creator take from 20-25 kb's (JPG). Almost no difference could be seen, maybe the ony noticable is, that GIF's are a bit brighter.

Best program for themes is Theme Creator Pro (http://tcpro.lasyk.net/).

Nothing can be downloaded from T230 coz it doesn't support OBEX (Obex not implemented) and this can't be resolved any way.
You have to send your pics (taken with Communicam Camera or any other way) to your email or via MMS, thats it.
Also, !NO! Outlook synchronization is possible

T230 can be used as a modem, you just have to use any other modem driver (I use driver for T200, which is IMHO the best one).
Link for the driver: http://www.sonyericsson.com/d[....]s/SET200PCModem_v1_25_7_12.zip

Thats it.

Well, I'm going to write a tutorial regarding SE T230 and computer connection since I think there will still be many questions.

Hi Ingenus,

please advise on connecting T230 as modem via T200 driver. I have those drivers, PC found the modem and managed to connect it as T68 cable modem as well. When i try to connect, i am receiving same reply - "hardware failure".

Tnx a lot,

Vlada

Sorry for being late...long time offline...no money on phone

Uninstall all modem drivers.

Well, first step is properly installed cable drivers.

Then download this t200 modem driver: http://www.sonyericsson.com/d[....]s/SET200PCModem_v1_25_7_12.zip

Unpack them etc...

Go to add new hardware panel (in Control Panel), select add device, then i have disk, point to a folder where you have your drivers, voila.
Notice that the right com port (usually Com4, but it all depends on your computer) and baud rate must be selected (baud rade in modem setup can be up to 115000kb/s). that should be it.

If it's not working, write again, i'll try to do my best!

Hi,

I'm trying to get my T200 rolling.

Using the Sony Ericsson Dial-Up wizard pops up a funky little animation saying:

"Retrieving GPRS config from mobile device"...

then it pops up a OK box:

"Because of an internal error in the application at least one parameter in the request is invalid".

As far as I understand if this wizard succeeds I can use my mobile phone to browse the web on my PC? Does this require special services or settings on my phone?

Thanks

I've googled around and that seems like _the_ site for ericsson software (appart form the fact that most of it just points to www.sonyericsson.com).

but "useful" is pushing it:)

It all seems like cool software, if only i could get it to work.

I'm a sadist for this stuff though. I'll let you guys know if I get anything useful out of this crappy handset

Slovenia Prices here differ from town to town. Got badluck living in outskirts

In comparison, in one shop I found MCA30 for 80, in another for 140 euro...funny, isn't it
