I had the exact same problem. I've got an account with orange.net, and like you i cud only send e-mail txt. BUT! the othe day i found this no. on the web : +46701811010. txt this with the words: mca20 and it will send u some settings (if it dosent work first time try again!).
I then when to ne-mail option set the account (MCA20) and under edit chose"connect using" orange.net from my old account. Wola! I can e-mail evey size pics from (mms) 80x60 to 640x480! try it!

What are you using to transfer files?? Bluetooth, IR or cable?

My guess is bluetooth. If so what tranceiver are you using? If it is the MSI key then you will need the latest software version which supports OBEX push which will send file to phone.

You can get it here:

http://www.tecom-us.com/asp/support.asp?Navi=SoftwareDownload

Select and download btw12216.zip.

Hi drhigh5!

U mentioned that with the latest driver for MSI bluetooth key, we'll be able to transfer pics from phone to PC? Have u tried it before? Btw, the link you provided is for TECOM, and not MSI. Pls clarify.

It's free but you must be a Malaysian
its Identity Card Number...
pretty much like ID Number

you could try MyRealBox
it uses imap instead of the pop system

@MattyB

Haven't you got a normal ISP Email account? Or is your orange.net account all you have?

If you've got an ISP Email account (for example I use ntlworld.com) you can set-up your phone just like Microsoft Outlook to send and recieve using the ISP account. I can send any size MCA-20 pics via my ntlworld account no problem. The only issue you might have is sending through the ISP's smtp outgoing server, so just insert the orange smtp outgoing server IP address instead. All other settings should be the same as what you put into Outlook.

If you're not using GPRS, you can even set-up a new Data Account on the phone that dials your ISP dial-up number to access your mail.

Any more info needed, let me know.

No, Halebop is just a WAP gateway, it has nothing to do with Email set-up.

The IP addresses you need for Email are for the SMTP and POP server. Because of SMTP authentication from your ISP you can't send mail through their SMTP server, you'll need the SMTP outgoing server IP address of your WAP provider, in Matty B's case orange: 193.35.131.155 And the POP incoming server IP address of your ISP.

This thread explains better than I can. http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=12338&forum=2#post152989
