@dav
tmo is the u.s. uses the 1900 band, cing & attws use 850/1900 (cing & attws have access to the 850 bands due to the old celluar licenses). so most (if not all, haven't checked) of tmo's phones sold in the u.s. are the world triband (900/1800/1900).

If nobody wants it.. put it on eBay.

As far as I know the K700 will have a "new and improved" adressbook and organizer. Can anybody compare it to actual Siemens phones?

Somewhere I've read that it is possible to listen to the FM-Radio through the bluetooth headset...
but it is not possible to switch on the radio without pluggin in the "wire-headset" (I think this will also be the antenna)...so where's the sense?!

great phone!!

The sense lie in that the "wire-headset" function as an FM antenna as well. Same solution as on Nokias I
believe.

Thanks MW, so then is there a possibility that TMo can release this shortly after it comes out? Since they do not have to wait for the version with the 850 band...

The k700i looks really promising - I hope I can get it soon!
I'm looking forward to the Radio, camera and I like the concept of the wireless village.

32MB space is okay, I think I'll continue to use the MP3 attachment to play my music. Also love the idea of remote PC Control(even though I am using pcControl by christensen.org)

I like the design, shame about the 'Quickshare' tag at the bottom of the phone . wondering where my provider will stick their gastly label ...

Another job well done!

I have uploaded a short K700 video clip

Yes, I know it's a lousy video quality.

despite the occassional out of focus the video on the K700 does look good and I think it will be quite watchable.

I did notice the time to go between icons on the desktop seemed quite slow as that spotlight effect seemed to move from one to the next.

did you perceive it to be slow to navigate?

the spotlight effect is kewl!

SonyEricsson phones are always slow. Other brands have faster processors inside (Nokia, Samsung) But the unnesceserry faster processors asks alot of battery power.

It does seem a bit slow, but the clubsonyericsson site had a video similar to this and it had the following note to it:

"NOTE: My digital camera records videos at only 10 frames per second, so the animation of the menus in this video doesn't look as smooth as it really is. And believe me, it is REALLY smooth. Very cool."

Would this be the case for this video I wonder?

I have 2 questions:

1 - Is the k700 all aluminium, or is only the battery cover aluminium?

2 - When using the radio, can you record the radio signal to the phones memory, ie record the song currently playing.

Thanks!!

The video mode in K700 seems bad
