Ahh man, this one looks so much better from what we have seen before.

Sony Ericsson will sell alot of this beauty
I think this handset is more a competition to the Nokia 6230 than S700.
S700 is far superior 6230 and K700 is just better and looks more better.

the design resembles the t610-30 series phones. SE did'nt even bother to create a new design for the phone. to me it's just like an improvement over the t61x phones. bummer!
something that is complex and sophisticated is not always the best and reliable. what is simple is better.

well, with a 1.3megapixel camera and a 262k TFT screen AND accepting duo's I'm certainly happy whether you call it a new model or an upgrade

No no, this one does not have those goodies.
However this will replace my black T630 as soon as it releases.

Well the k700 does not have 1.3 MegaPixel as I see it. It's only a VGA-cam or am I wrong?

"VGA camera is used in the phone, the manufacturer tries to cut advanced phone functionality, not attract attention of users to the old model. The main peculiarity of the camera is that it allows not only to take pictures but record video clips as well. The manufacturer emphasizes that the best designers from Sony, famous by creating ergonomic interfaces, took part in the development of camera’s interface. It is possible to use the phone as a usual digital camera. The user can hold the handset with two hands, the screen is used as a view finder. Somehow it reminds usual digital cameras. "

wow massuer made a mistake lol. those specs are the S700

from what i can gather the improvements so far are the screen, 32mb memory (no memory stick though), a radio and a new 3d games engine.

the official press release links to the wrong phone on mobile review

ah, mobile-review have the wrong link to their press release page for the K700... it goes to the S700 page (didn't notice that)

the correct page for the K700 should be this one

Well.. being a conservative old fart I tend to appreciate evolution rather than revolution..
I had a hard time getting used to SE´s new square-ish look, but i think this new baby looks just fine!
Don´t care much for the swiveling one though, and as another poster said, the clamshell has got to small display, at least to be aestetichal.

the specs if correct are good for a mid range phone still dont like the design looks like the t630 to much which looks to much like a childs toy phone imho.
however i dont buy my phones for looks alone so this could be my next one depending how long it takes to come out.
the swivel one looks the best of the 3 (but thats not hard) but it will be a bit on the large side for me esp trying to text since i didnt read it was touchscreen.still the spec are good and am sure lots of people will want it
as for the z500 is that what the z200 should have been (thats all i can say on that)
