onwards with my problem. (short re-cap: since the upgrade I cant access the "drives" on my P900 anymore and are also having trouble getting my dongle to recognize what phone it is)

Got an answer from -> please disable firewall and antivirus and try again... Doh! like I hadn't tried that yet, so now I'm in for another 24 hrs of waiting for the next reply. God damn their e-mailservice is slow.. I'm actually considering calling them

Pondering if it's possible to do a downgrade - it was working nicely before the last update (except for rebooting once in a while)... still not anybody else having the same problem?! (except for those of you who've fixed it already.)

@Homer -

It sounds like you need a service pack upgrade. Your issue is definately browser related and it has nothing to do with the website.

@....-

Don't fall into SE's customer service trap and expect to get help from them. You will not get any answers from them. You have better luck on the boards bro. I would suggest that you format your phone and upgrade it on a different computer this time. There may be some variable (ie software on your pc, etc.) added to it since the last upgrade that is causing this blunder. Again, you're more liable to see your answer tatooed the left ass cheek of a flying pink pig before you get an reliable answer from SE support.

Hello All,

I seem to be having the same problem that once I upgraded, I can no longer browse the drives on the computer. Is anyone out there closer to getting an answer from SE about this? I guess they would have to release a maintanence patch to fix this or something. It is quite annoying though.

Another thing. Is it possible to have replies to posts sent via email so that one does not have to search for answers to posts?

Still crashing..
My P900 died on me yesterday. For no obvious reason it suddenly got stuck in the clock screensaver. Showed time, but no buttons could wake it up. Incoming calls worked though, but the display was only "clock". I opened the flip and still had the big black time display on screen. Could not turn the phone off, and had to take the battery out - and it still displayed the clock! After some time the clock faded away, and when I reinstalled the battery the P900 woke up and seemed to have forgotten everything about it's little dropout.

I have the newest firmware on my phone, R3A06.

Same to me... my P900 with latest firmware got stuck in the clock screensaver... had to power it off and then on again. After that i disabled the clock leaving the blank screensaver. So far it didn't happened again. Looks like a bug in the latest release.

...exactly the same thing as the post immediately before mine. If I had posted the problem description I would have descibed it word for word the same as Jolitorax did

Using R3A here, no crashes, no hangs, works very good.
Battery life is better with this new firmware, it's great

@sapporobaby

Please call support and have them log it, some of us have this problem, but they can't figure out why. They had me hunting som "spyware" today (which I didn't have installed) and disable all antivirus & firewalls. The "we" formatted the phone and tried again, to no avail. They told me to visit a Service Point and try flashing it there. I actually solved it (ugly solutions and it cost me $18) but I installed PC FTP Bridge... (whammo I can now FTP to localhost and get access to my "drives" on the phone) hows that for laffs?!

So call support -- and perhaps we might get a fix (or a new phone since it's not working).... I have my CASE open for the time being...

Upgrade complete! Haven't really noticed much difference except that the battery life/usage seems to have improved. I'm not getting the hangs or other errors users are experiencing.

Can confirm that installation of software is much faster.

Why won't SE update site allow me to upgrade

My firmware version is: CDA162003/5 R2B01

It says my operator does not approve usage of this service.

My phone is a sim free unit with an O2 pay as you go sim in it.

Any ideas?

Hi!

I updated my P900 to the latest firmware and everything is working perfectly (including browsing the phone from your PC).

It no longer hangs if you press "1-button" several times when you are composing a SMS (just gets slow showing the smileys)

Since I just upgraded it I haven't noticed anything else...
