is there a quick way to see who is actually online (i.e. a dynamic list rather than the 'there are currently x users online' tag)?

if not, can we have one? please?

just a thought for the quiet times (like now ) where we can quickly see if anyone is around with whom we are familiar.

There is one available from within the moderators own forum, but to be honest looking at the display right now it shows 9 people logged in and about 50 or more as guest so I am not really sure on how usable it would be in general use. I guess people only log in when they want to reply or check there PMs, and if they have logged in to reply, and its quiet, you will see them in the few new posts anyway.

I haven't seen this available elsewhere on Esato so will leave giving further details to laffen if he should choose to do so.

i know it says "online" within a thread. i mean a separate page with a list of names for who is online. that way you can look to see who is hanging around.
