I think most people will be cautious to buying phones that have not even been announced officially yet!

I am amazed by the fact that so many people are fooled to believe all these scams all the time.
As Masseur said, it is quite obvious that it is a scam when the phones are not even officially launced, but still some people fall for it.

I think you know from your own recent experience with your stolen P800 that all of us can be conned or duped. I have tried to inform eBay about these scams to persuade the fraudsters to move away from eBay and SE P900/800s. There must be so many people who were hoping, like us, to own a P800 and just ended-up losing their £300 / $500 / etc. Esato people are more aware of scams because they know their SE products. So let's see if we can help future Esato members by exposing the fraudsters!

@Jah
I could'nt agree more!
It is dead easy to fall for scams. They are so well frazed in their adds and seem to be trustworthy all the way.
In the end the scamee really has nobody else to blame but them selves, just like me. I only have myself to blame for getting my phone nicked.
My own stupidity is the reason for my loss!

Stupidity does play its part, however, having said that, a good conartist is VERY good at what heshe does so don't feel to ashamed.
The most basic rule of conning is still the most pertinent, 'If something seems too good to be true, then more often than not it is!'
