Whats the point of spending all that money just to keep it out of sight in your pocket

All Uk operators are required by law to offer a cooling off period of at least 14 days. During which you can return the phone and only pay for any service you have used.

I got my p800 and they told me i could port my number after i had taken out the contract but they were lying so i took it back after a couple of days arguing with t-mobile and O2.

The shop just said sorry and cnaceled the contract and opened another one.

This was a Phones4u shop.

Very well said, scotsboyuk.

P800 is a real man phone which every male macho should be proud of holding it around.

For those who can't bear the baby blue thing, get yourself a grey case or spray it another colour.

@pk237776

Don't come moaning on here and slagging the phone off just because you didn't do your research.

You want a P900? Well imagine the P800 in a different case, but with a shed load of bugs too. The P800 was full of bugs when it arrived and is now a stable phone.

So stop moaning and keep the P800 for a year, just in time for the P900 or its probable successor.

@scotsboyuk

Spot on that man - made me smile!

@pk2123 sorry couldnt remember your name and my connection is slow to go back!!

but i think that if you only got the phone then you should return it if unhappy as you cant argue you didnt know of the p900 (well maybe im wrong there!)

but im in the same situation although when i bought my second p800 in august the p900 was still an uinfounded rumour of which there are millions online in this area, my first p800 was stolen so i bought a new one, and both i paid top money for as i bought sim free, but i would have definately waited and perhaps bought a t610, if i had of known that the p900 was going to be released soon (next 3 months)

i do feel slightly ripped off, although i love the p800 and have had no major probs with it, im annoyed that at this stage i feel i've paid a lot of money for a phone (twice!!) that has been discontinued and a newer model is replacing it..

im not on a contract with this phone so upgrading is not an option for me, im a technology early adopter, and believe me i emailed and various people i know in the business and they had no information that said the P800 was being replaced by a newer model, and if so not for at least 6 months..
thankx

I bought mine on contract bout 4-5 months ago and I do not think I will be buying the P900 if its anything like the P800, void of alot of phone functions compared to T68i, then I will not be buying another SE phone in the near future.

I did not buy this phone to be a paying beta tester, I hope they do offer an upgrade of firmware to bring it to a similar standard to the P900.

Shame coz I have always bout Ericsson sonce T10...They really need to pull up their socks...

Hey the p800 is still a force to rekon with. Especially with all the 3rd party apps available. Although the p900 can use the old p800 apps, there are compatibility issues like the larger screen size when flip-closed and the 65k color screen. This means that the P800 will still be better than the p900 for a while before all the apps come out. = )

There will always be a new model out soon when it comes to
phones (and computer parts too) and often they are improved/better
(makes sence).
Just think what you need and if you can live with it a year or whatever
your economy allows before you buy something.
I'm not trying to flame or put anyone down it's just a fact.
atm noone knows for sure when P900 will come out but you
can be pretty sure it will cost alot more then a P800 a cpl of months
after it's release.
Don't worry be happy

If you don't like your phone.... and you wonder what would happen to your contract... maybe it's time for you to read the small print in your contract.... and you will find just how long you have to change your mind

Can any of you read on here.... I have never said at any point that I was unhapppy with the size of the P800. Plus I saw no information about the P900 prior to purchase and am not the type of person to spend all of my spare time surfing the internet unlike you ScotsboyUK.

so.......................

'unless I'm very much mistaken' ( ) some geuinie advice has been offered here..... if you are unhappy you can cancel your contract and return the phone within 14 days on orange UK.

If that is not the answer you were looking for.... then what exactly is the point of this thread???
