I don't see anything drastically wrong with Nokia, but I prefer going against majority
Being different is a good feeling for me. |

When you are against others do justify yourself! We got reasons as to why we don't like Nokia (read the previous messages!), now it's your turn!

i hate/dislike NOKIA simply because of the insecure, immature and racist people like the ones in dis thread! NOKIA may be a bad company but w/ gud consumers, and SE? ...a gud company w/ a bad attitude consumers! As far as im concern, no NOKIA user tells somethin against the SE or any other mobile company, even when they are ahead or behind!

I do not hate Nokia I still have a 7110 which I never use it is just there in case which if I was still a Nokia user it would have been used several times by now due to software bugs. You see in my opinion Nokia are a bit like microsoft they release something which looks realy good but fill it full of bugs and the user spends more time downloading repairs than using it for the purpose it was purchased for. I first started out with Ericsson's and moved on to Nokia's due to the picture sms's that were going around my work place a few years back, had several Nokia's 5110 3210 7110 6210 6510 8210 and 3330 all great phones in theory but never had that something special that little bit different thing that made you want to use it not just for calls but all the other stuff emails sms games we all get board of snake after a while, so this is why I went back to Ericsson. My R520m is in my opinion proberbly the best phone ever made all the features of a T68 except the colour screen. You are not afraid to give it a bit of hammer as it will easyly stand up to it but I love my T68m and my two T68i's to death and would not swap them for anything. My sons T300 is a brilliant phone as is my prototype R520m TU1 and as yet I have to see a Nokia with battery life and features that can compare with any of these phones. So for now I love SonyEricsson and hope they never change to the needs of the youth oriantated culture of Nokia. |

the one thing that i truly despise abt nokia is that they release TOO MANY PHONES!! you buy one phone and most of the times after a couple of months they release a new one + they are WAY too common i wanna get something thats different and good i found that in my t300 i have no regrets whatsoever of buying it unlike some nokia phones............. |

This thread is full of false accusations but I'll just correct this one for now:
"for example 8210/8250/8310/8850 are ALL essentially the same internals, with minor differences on the outside and inside eg. diferent coloured leds and gprs for the 8310"
First of all, those are all PREMIUM category phones that are targeted at people who prefer style & size over features. Second of all, lets look at the differences between the models. Launched in 1999, 8210 and 8850 were sister models with identical features for people who liked different looks basically. Very clever from Nokia. The 8250 was an Asian version of the 8210. All three were rather basic feature wise with IrDA and voice commands being the highlights.
However, implying that 8310 wasn't a significant improvement over 8210/8250/8850 is just absurd. It came out not earlier than in 2001 to replace the aged 8210. It ADDED all these things to 8210/8250/8850:
-WAP
-GPRS
-HSCSD
-FM Radio
-Voice recorder & call recording
-changeable back cover
-longer standby & talktime
-multiple numbers per contact
-ringtones as SMS alerts
-timed profiles
-timer
-stopwatch
-to do-list
-Group SMS
-currency converter
-large SMS memory (200 messages)
=completely reworked FW & design - pushing the PREMIUM definiton a little further (isn't there a 8310 on the Esato banner)
I wouldn't call that "same shit, different covers".

Yes, u are absolutely right!
For others, when u have never tried something or not at least understand the features offered by a phone completely, let's not put your own assumptions as facts...it irritates, not to Nokia users, but even SE fans like me

"a new model is out every week - you can't enjoj your phone for a long time"
-I think 3+ months would be closer...hey, they lead the market, what do you expect? They should just sit down and watch the others go by?
"very expensive phones + very expensive services which I can take on my 68i for free..."
-I think in most parts of Europe the service for Nokia phones is free during the factory guarantee period and even after that FW upgrades cost nothing for Club Nokia members...infact, at least where I live, Nokia has to pay the expences you get for taking the phone to a service...many people don't know this but it's the law (with any company). |

I used to own a Nokia before. But after a while I found their phones to be boring. I needed a more challenging phone to keep my brain from going stagnant. :-)

It always amazes me how people here in this forum spout off about how bad Nokia is. I happen to own a P800, a T68i, and a Nokia 3650. Personally, I find the 3650 much easier to use. It may not have the feautures as my P800, but it has the features that I use the most. Also, there is a shitload of 60 series software out there. You can customize your 3650 enough to give the P800 a run for the money. When it comes to the Camera, the 3650 spanks the P800 hard. IMHO the menus are better organized and easier to navigate through than my P800. I've never been a big fan of touch screens.
For those complaining about software problems, etc., with Nokias...I advise you to take a GOOD hard look at the posts on this site about all the problems with SE phones. Ex: "My phone entries in my T68i are gone!" "Can't get bluetooth to work." etc etc. SE phones have their equal share of problems too, so please...don't say you bought an SE phone because it's problem free. That's bullshit. I have had MORE problems with my T68i than ANY other phone. Just look at how many software revisions SE comes out with each month...pathetic.
Finally, it's amazing how many of you call the 3650 a brick. Excuse me, the P800 isn't a brick? FYI my 3650 weighs LESS than my P800. The P800 weighs 158 grams...the 3650 only 134 grams. If you don't like Nokia, that's fine. But don't start stupid ass threads like this to try and rationalize to yourself and justify your reasons for buying a SE phone.
