I must disagree with you here. I do love AMOLED panels but the over saturated settings(which I know can be changed) do not make the scene of an image or photo look natural at all. I have seen plenty of LCD panels with beautiful natural colours. More often than not using an AMOLED screen & taking a camera photo has resulted in colours that do not match the scene I am looking at.
Wheres this over saturated setting ? My S3 has four settings, dynamic, standard, photo, movie. In that order, from most colourful to least. So im assuming you mean the dynamic setting.
Personally I have mine on dynamic all the time as I love the colours, but like I mentioned in my previous post, never do my images ever seem over saturated from the pictures ive taken. If anything, the ones taken with the phones camera are white and over exposed compared to my old N8 for example.
I think you might have had a faulty phone when you used such a phone with an amoled display. Even my N8 has an amoled screen, but its not affected by this over saturated accusation. I think the media have simply dreamed up an issue that doesn't exist to downplay the technology in defence of other products.
@etaab,no I don't think I had a faulty Galaxy S1,S2 which both had very over saturated screen & when I used dynamic & used the camera the colours didn't match the scene I was looking at. They have improved & I myself do like the nice strong colours but it isn't always so natural

I must admit even though i am not a fan of the design (although the blue and pearly white look best) and I don't like the larger bezels. Today I had another play and the screen is beautifully crisp and clear. Also whatever Samsung did to TW coupled with the 801 processer it is ALOT snappier. I also realised you can change the settings menu to tabs or list if you want instead of long scrolling menu. I still don't think the camera is a huge leap in quality though. And no I'm not buying one I'm actually regretting ever selling the Note 3 so am going to buy new one this week

There are no huge leaps in quality these days, not from any manufacturer.

I don't get HTC,why didn't they put a 13 mp camera in their flagship or a 16?? They have used a 13mp in their cheaper Desire 816 which got decent reviews for it's images. Weird are HTC cos they could have made an all round greater device with a better camera. Over in the Sony Z2 thread they are claiming Z2 won

No mate sorry I don't want an 808. I don't buy a phone solely for a camera I always want an all in one all round device. Symbian is dead & not for me. As long as the camera takes crisp decent shots

please learn to understand what you read. you didn't get the point of what was posted. what was written there was the 1st set of photos was the z2's while the 2nd and 3rd are the s5's and m8's respectively. you can't really help not venting out your frustrations over the sony threads, can you? |

^Yeah the xShot sounds pretty impressive.
Some people say the official announcement is on the 7th May, if my google translate skills are high enough

I don't get HTC, too.
I have to admit the S5 seems to be the best all arround smartphone, not really failing in any certain discipline (if you exclude design which is highly subjective anyway). I think my S4 is gorgeous
Btw. who are 'they' which think the Z2 won? ^^'
