I think those are just design prototypes/ or the Xperia T that didn't quite make it to final design. I do not believe they are 2013 phones as they have the logo and Sony Ericsson logo at the front. And I think Rog was referring to the Xperia V.
I hope he will post soon.

Yeah, i don't believe that this is the prototype of 2013 device
I want something really Innovative that will define Sony's designing language, not just an Arc style |

We have been informed that these are not any upcoming models. They are simply design concepts for the current line of Xperia handsets.

When I posted over a month ago that the new phone will release within weeks after announcement everybody complained and said that Sony cannot do that.

V will not be sold in UK for now. But retailers will sell the V unlocked around late September. Officially it may be available after October. |

V is said to come in q4 to Sweden, so October would make sense |

They did say 'early September' and 'over the next few weeks' for Xperia T and Xperia Tablet S.
It's only a good thing that they've addressed this announcement to release delay.
Unfortunately, the last announcement didn't make me reach for my wallet. Saying that, I'll probably end up with Xperia T next week and get a Xiaomi 2 for my wife on October.
On topic:
I and one or two others have openly asked anybody with any knowledge if they want to volunteer information on if we should expect more this year.
Am I right in saying that from the silence of the few in here who obviously have a finger on the pulse, that there is nothing left to come?
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

I doubt that 'refreshed' Snapdragon S1 would ever handle resource-hog OS like Android, in fully-utilized condition of course!!
Sony’s UI skin hasn’t changed much since earlier Gingerbread-based builds, but what’s most striking about its ICS efforts is its performance. It’s speedier than you’d expect from an 800MHz chip, and it puts most of Sony’s Gingerbread phones -- including dual-core models -- to shame when it comes to responsiveness. |
