Like i said i have no doubts that the N8 will have far better quality than any other 12mp cameraphone, it'll take time for me especially to get the right settings for each scene. Remember, those pictures were my first attempt.
The video is especially shakey, but thats not the camera, i was stood on a metal bridge over the river and as people walked across behind me the whole bridge vibrated and made the videos appear to be rather shakey !
Anyway, heres the full N8 images with some extras thrown in, again i must stress how raw they are, complete auto settings with little experience of the camera, rushed shots:

Agreed! I saw lot comment about new-owner of N8 after shot performance quite not satisfied as they expectation, I it remind me when I got mine satio very very first month. It would take sometime to get used to new device
Keep sharing etaab I love to see how good of N8 perform days after days!

Heh, well i got my Satio when it was released in October last year, i only started to be happy with the pictures it took from about March this year onwards. Prior to that, i just couldnt get a good picture. I thought every picture was blurred, bad contrast etc.
Since then ive been using the white balance, EV and scenes more effectively. I'll have to take some similar shots with the N8 when i get a chance.

Satio has not much to tune though unlike Pixon12 and Nokia N8 basically I preferred auto scene with auto focus and image stabilizer always turned off.
Red eyes flash is about close range less than meter to keep it work properly and eyes are must keep open when flash fired that make some dizzy though.
EV changes is about ISO controller for Satio, usually adjust to minus -0.5 to -1.0 depend on light source it really help.
Face and smile detection quite gimmick not common use in moderately shot.
Macro is fairly well performance.

@ _BA - I generally use the white balance setting the most. Set it to daylight or sunny when using outdoors. Also lower the EV level like HxH said, a notch or two to improve colour saturation. Turn off the image stabiliser, it makes shots blurry, and learn to hold the phone as still as possible before hitting the shutter key and a couple of seconds after.
More N8 samples to come after the break..

N8 is have BIG optical problem. On many shots by N8 have blur on right side. On etaab photos too. Remember - N8/Pixon12 very sensitive to hand shakes. This is cost for 12mp |

I dont see any blurring at all. I never did in any N8 pictures. Ive looked at mine 100% crop and see no blur. Please kindly point it out for me. The only problem ive noticed so far with the N8 is due to its wider lens, the four corners of the image are more dark in darker images as opposed to the Satio, plus they're also more vulnerable to lens flare, as ill demonstrate.
Im uploading more examples as we speak to test out the N8. Ill post comparison pictures first, then links to full image in another post later.

OK heres some more comparisons taken this morning in the mid October sunshine.
Satio
Here, N8 wins IMO, better colour representation of the grass as opposed to the Satio image which makes the colours looks a little warm or yellow in glow.
Nokia N8
Satio
As you can see from the following N8 image, the wider angle lens allows the sun to come running in and ruin the image pretty easily. This will be something the user will learn to avoid in time. I wasnt aware of this until i posted the images onto my computer. However, look at the sky towards the direction of the sun, its far more colourful and more true to life. Unfortunately as i shot slightly into the sun, detail is lost on the brick work. This again is more user error rather than a camera issue.

Again, see how the wider angle lens of the N8 gets a lens flare as im shooting slightly into the sun. Again, something i was not aware of until i put the images on my pc.

etaab give samples in fullsize. How do you want us to see the picture quality and blur to right side? |

Well, I must say I'm impressed with Satio's performance in these shots.

nice comparison etaab!
N8 shots are clearly better to me over Satio, its not even close.. you can tell how more natural and accurate the N8 shots are.
While still very good.. I see a lot of post processing in Satio shots, higher contrast, yellow.. |
