**04*0000*0000*0000*0000# is the secret code to access the menu without a simcard for most phones, but it doesn't work on the T68.
Does anyone know if such a code exists and IF IT DOES, can you use your phone on an airplane as MP3 player????
Thanks

No you can't use it as an MP3 player on the plane, as you have to switch the phone on to use the MP3 player, sorry. And if you have a dedicated MP3 player you can only use it during cruise, not climb or descent, and that depends on the airline you're flying on. |

If your flying on an airline that doesn't let you use MP3 players, just hide it thats what I always do
I have noticed that the major airlines AA/BA etc allow mini disks, cd players, laptops etc, but the charter airlines dont!!!
Anyone know why, or is it just a ploy to get you to buy their headphones to listen to their entertainment system??

Normally walkmans, discmans, minidisk players are allowed to be used, but not appliances capable of picking up radio signals, such as a portable radio.
I don't know why this is, but it's generally how I find the case to be.

Air craft equipment can be disrupted by radio signals, and failing equipment in that situation isnt a good idea

Hello???? I was talking about a code here not the new regulations on airlines around the world... we already have another site about THAT on the GSM forum
ditzygal--> it worked on older versions of Ericsson, like the two year ago one's
I really think it would be cool...
Fingers---> If there is no sim in the phone, does it still search for network?

Yes because you can make emergency calls to 112 999 911 without a sim
