Just a follow up from a not very clear thread. I had R1ba042 installed and didnt have the sms chat option. I ran sony update and it said i had the latest, thought i would reinstall anyway and now it has appeared in messages the threaded chat. It would appear they have included it in the R1ba042 firmware very good.
