Wonderful News ...
Sony Ericsson C905 will get a small upgrade very soon.
It’s new firmware, which has some new features.
Here are all features, that will got updated C905 Cyber-shot™ :

Smile Shutter™
YouTube™
WayFinder 8
Snapfish
SMS-chat

New upgrade will be available in all new C905 phones from mid-February 2009.
Other users of C905 phone can easily upgrade firmware by SEUS.

What about software faults though will they be fixed.

Brilliant news!
They should provide regular feature upgrades to more phones.
It would be even better if we could pick and choose from a selection of features.
How cool would that be?
I'd love to be able to upgrade the media player or audio when new versions appeared.

All I want from upgrade is :

- better camera features

- a little protection for private stuffs

- multimedia button better organized
/not like now, it pull every pic or video on screen /

I just hooked my phone up to a friends computer and did the update. Everything is working well, Google Maps comes preinstalled with this update, and can be found within the Location Services menu. I am on a generic western europe firmware.

EDIT: This is wrong information.. Sorry!

Dude, the "new update" which this thread is all about is going to release in february, and has wayfinder with it.

I fear I might have got carried away. Just checked it all and it seems that I don't have the new version. In saying that though, when I upgraded on the computer I got quite a few new options. My phone must have been more outdated than I'd imagined.

Is there a set date for the update release yet, or just "mid-february"?
