@forceabuser: hmm yea, my n82 came with a microphone extension cord thing( admittedly bringing that along is as bad as having to remember to bring a 3.5mm adapter). Well i don't call often so i suppose that's why i never realised that.
But hey it's still a massive selling point to me, geez when my meant to be quick trip to the Doctors turned into an immediate suprise two night trip to the hospital. I was thoroughly unprepared, didn't think i'd need to bring my ipod along when seeing a doctor, but i was fortunate enough to get my hands on a pair of earphones at the hospital to use with my n82 which i had luckily loaded with at least my favourite songs

Apart from games, the C905 is a very good upgrade. But so far no mobile phone has been that good at proper gaming. Thats why I prefer the PSP anyway to a mobile. I had a Nokia N78 and the games were fun yes but not as fun compared to an actial portable console. If you are a serious gamer then you would have a PSP or DS for games instead of a mobile phone.

Maybe he'd prefer to just have a phone with decent games to kill some quick time and S60 is great for that, so INNOV8 is really the worthy upgrade in everything except the flash, which shouldn't be that bad of a problem unless you love taking night pics, but no CMOS equipped cameras are really that good at taking night pics anyways.

And one last thing, the GPS support in a SE phone is a joke. Furthermore, just make sure, your SE dealer will be willing to take back the C905 if you discover some faults with it (go read the C905 tread regarding bad/poor manufacturing) SE just posted a huge loss for the last financial quarter, obviously there must be a reason for that

the idea behind it is great (sports tracker, geo tagging, navigation) but the antenna (at least in my c702) sucks so bad that i have to agree with you.

May I ask if you ever used C905 GPS??? I think it's not from your experience.. GPS works great for C905.

if you looking for camera and video -performance you should stick with your N82, it have quite much better camera and video.
c905 on other hand have better screen and better music-features, thats pretty much what c905 is better on.

about c905 gps problems (who quite many have around the world), i think the problems lays in the java platform. Java based UI + GPS is not 100% working function for the moment. (gps seems work better with Symbian platform, maybe because SE java platform isn't fully compatible with a-gps right now, but will of course gets better in the future).

A simple screen hack will make the N82 have the same if not better screen as the C905 as Nokia limited the brightness of the screen to improve battery life. Also N82 is more convenient on the music side as well with a proper 3.5mm jack on top instead of a retarded position on the side with the huge fastport connector.

Oh please, C905 has some shitty video recording from like the 17th century. C905 also has some pretty ugly build quility with the keypad getting scratched by the slider itself, pretty sad. Also the screen is pretty small for a slider and it's pretty fat. So the only logical choice would be to go to the INNOV8 and lose the xenon flash or wait for Nokia to release their 8MP beast.

Build quality is way better than any damn Nokia phone out there.Have out ever tried the N85. And its a slider, comparing it to a candybar is utter foolishness.

i thought we were talking about camera, where did video recording come into the picture??

And as it is, when viewed on the phone, the video in the C905 looks way better..

And the build quality was a problem in the initial batches, the latter batches are rock solid. And what Nokia releases wont be a beast, wilbe a pauper, coz the beasts have already captured the market.

Yea, I agree, the C905 video looks adequate enough on its own screen. Sure, vga recording would be nice but qvga is good enough for youtube etc.
