W890, sound is amazing through headphones - better than my iPod Nano.

w810 is still a very good phone - good camera, good sound, good build.

u might want to try the w910 for its new features say accelerometer, trackid etc.

Considering you love the w580's design ... I would suggest the W760i, over the w910 for the following logical reasons:

* Similar design to the w580 (shape, queues, m2 card slot location)
* aGPS with GoogleMaps & WayFinder pre-installed.
* STEREO Speakers - something everyone here seems to forget!
* A+B Gaming buttons; also like K800 maybe camera shortcut buttons.
* Pre-reviews state its solid, well built, with good enough heft like K850i.
* Auto-Rotate (accelerometer) not just for browser or Media Manager!!
* QuadBand GSM, but ALSO Tri-Band 3G HSDPA! If you plan on travelling around the world this'll help IMMENSELY. W910 nor W960 can give you that.
* 3.2MP camera. no AF, but PhotoFix is there which may help; save night shots.
- No WiFi; but it seems thats not what your after
- slightly smaller screen than w910 but I'm sure just as brilliant.

I don't know why so many ppl are suggesting the W960? Its like its to protect their own purchase investment. You didn't mention you wanted a smartphone, nor WiFi, nor a huge screen/touch screen. You DID mention that you like the w580's design, but disliked the w910, so the only logical suggestion is the w760i. Then again the w890i is slick for a candybar, and the W980i is just amazing (why no Tri-band 3G I have no clue, after all it IS the flagship :Walkman: phone so why not make it a globetrotter?)!

PS the w760 debuts end of May.

W980.
Should have the best sound quality of any Walkman phone, even though there's much debate over whether this is hardware , software or headphone based.
IMO the best looking Walkman phone, and the best non-UIQ feature set - FM transmitter, walkman on top, 3.2Mp camera, HSDPA, clamshell style.
W760, W910, W890, W960, W880, W580, W350 and W900 are all good phones too.

If you want a slide phone, wait for w760i. If you want the best candybar in terms of sound quality, design, slimness, and packed with features, choose the AWESOME w890i. I'm not a fan of the chunky w980i clamshell, but thats just IMHO. don't choose the w960i unless you are serious about committing yourself to a new style smart phone. In summary, w890i - cool, sexy, slim...and intelligent! just wish all girls could be like that...

@Prom1

* aGPS with GoogleMaps & WayFinder pre-installed.

This is ONLY if your network operator leaves the phone alone. I'm with Orange and got my w890i as an upgrade, but by the time I got it they had removed google maps

also@Prom1:

Er, both the w890i and w980i DO have HSDPA?? check out the many official specs and reviews (just google it). so what's the problem? HSDPA works on any 3G network, its just that if that particular network doesn't support HSDPA, the phone will just run on slower 3G network speeds.

Yes.
With a large exterior screen and dedicated music buttons on the top surface, you can choose and play music without opening the phone. Since A200 has deleted the Play/Pause button which has led to a petition to get it back, this should be of interest to many members. 'Walkman on top' is even better IMO.

@carkitter,
"walkman on top"?
is that what sony ericsson calls the placement of walkman buttons on the outside or is it something you made up?
tbh, it sounds like cheap porn.
if it is your creativity you could probably sell the idea.
a phone for the porn lover, sony ericsson's latest w69i with woman, oops! correction, "walkman on top". [addsig]
