bav, SE won´t use 3.2...on beibei firmware you see widgets all over the place, opera 9.5 stuff, etc - all this is what we see on UIQ 3.3

Interesting indeed. So is it pretty much a given then that BeiBei will be UIQ 3.3?

I've just tried UIQ 3.3 earlier today and it is much like what I've seen of BeiBei!

How does it compare to S60 Mizz?

It's very hard to say anything at this point. It was a beta version of UIQ 3.3, and some areas didn't feel any stable at all. Opera Mobile was extremely buggy and crashed almost every time I tried loading a web page.
The web widgets are fun, though. Very nice idea.

@mizzle:
how about the eyecandies? i mean the menu animations? does v3.3 possess better transition effects and animations than it's earlier versions?

Most of the menu icons are actually highly animated! This includes most of the small icons as well (those in list view)

Better than A200's animations?

Don't know if they're better, they're definitely longer.

I am guessing is doing a fusion of the UIQ and Java platforms... Maybe a bad guess... But close to Nokia's approach to their platforms... Isn't it? I would like to hear some opinions on this possibility that re-evaluated the current position with the platforms...

SE has a headstart over nokia a in terms of coming up with a iphone killer because UIQ was and is touchscreen optimized.
too bad from what is seen, UIQ 3.3 is not revolutionary and with motorola busy with troubles of it own, its going downhill all the way.
even the flagship SE will be using WM. |
