I know it's a well known issue, but i couldn't find a single, specified thread for this problem on any forum, inc esato itself. This has just happened to me on the latest firmware. I am under the impression that reflashing it with davinci/others works, but SEUS doesn't - is this right? Is there ANY other way to sort it out?
Also, as an aside, i'm on Orange UK contract, though I debranded my phone. Will they get pissy if I take it in and say "It's broken"? Anyone know if they'll give me a replacement whilst it's being fixed, or if they'll just tell me to go via Sony? Also, if they do sort it out for me, will they cry because I debranded it?
Any bits of lovely know to impart upon me?

When I got that problem I had to flahs it with KK Client. Costed me 8 Euro. If you can return it, go return it and get replacement. They cant check if it was unbranded anyway  |

I'm in the same boat as you my friend, Blue Ring of Death, Unbranded Dolphin 35 phone..
I'm not sure if they'd get suspicious or not, but I mean.. the phone is screwed up.
Anyone have any ideas on how to Flash the phone for free, using some software that you don';t pay for, I have Firmware files just dunno how to flash without paying stupid prices. |

I flashed it with the update server app from the sony ericsson web. it worked fine. |

The solution is simply SEUS. Sony Ericsson Update Service. Free.
BTW, we have already had a specific thread about it. Correct, tranced? |

my k850 also have brod too... it happen to me every single week... and i have to flash my fone every single week... dat is no point for me to setup contact ringtone n pictures cuz i have to flash the fone every week...
dis is pissing me off!!

Yes, it will fix the BROD if you haven't changed your CDA.
