U600 is more of a girly phone, my daughter has a pink version, U700 is slim, solid, stylish, with a lot more under the hood than most people imagine.

I have owned 3 or 4 P990i's JoJo, dispensed with the last one many moons ago, which kinda shows how outdated it is perhaps.

u700 weights almost nothing. one of the things what do disturbs me in many fones of now a days, like with w880. i like to feel the fone in my pocket, otherwise i usually search for it. and its also a good poin, that its a lady fone...

@ Boba, i think it's the colour scheme that determines the gender use of phones these days, these days, thin is in.

well, for me a slim and slider fone ( which front cover is almost like a mirror, like lg shine or this u7 ) is more welcome at a lady imo, who wanna control makeup or lipstick... but of course its a matter of taste, i am not a big fan of this unisex solutions to be honest...

I find the mirror finish extremely useful for picking up stray food in my beard , sorry JoJo i'm sure that's not helping you decide one way or the other

@boba - Looks like you GOT me LITERALLY back there pal When I said . . . I want to WEIGH things FIRST . . . I meant I want to SEE the PROS and CONS of the U700 mate . . . NOT the WEIGHT of the fone itself . . !

aslong he doesnt test it on its own, its for no use to talk about it imo... for example the keypad of u7... well, if u got used to a "normal" keypad and u like to feel when u push a key, then forget it... it reminds me on the razr solution btw

The touch button element of the U series does take some getting used to, but as we see with the K850i, that appears to be the current trend.

Ok, my personal opinion, reiterating PERSONAL, is that if you use a phone for calls, txt messaging and a bit of web browsing (HSPDA is very quick), the U700 would be my weapon of choosing, BUT if you need to have blackberry, comprehensive business features, and possibly sat nav then the P990 would be it.

In my case, I use (well used to use) the P990 for work and used a slimmer lighter phone like the U700 at evening and weekends.

BTW, for you information, the picture you have posted in the first post shows both the U700 and the U600. The phone on the right is the U600, and the one on the left the U700. Just incase you are getting yourself confused. The U700 has 3G support, where the U600 does not.
