I know what a difference a unbranbded phone is to a network branded.

I used to be with Orange and i hated there branding so left them after 8 years of being with them.
Now im with O2 and even though i get my phones from o2, they have 1, o2 logo where the play now is and thats it.

Nothing else is changed or removed from the menus, games, themes etc

Phone is still unlocked and as i dont use play now, it doesnt bother me.

Nice one to every one else tho.

Which language pack i have to take to debrand a french vodafone firmware? sorry I'm noob and I don't want to waste 10€ and find out there's no french language pack in DaVinci website, and I guess the CUSTOMIZED UK/ BLUE (1202-5694 | WESTERN-EUROPE isn't the one i need...

Looks pretty much like the 02 firmware.

Will stick with what I've got... a glorified K810i.

Hi there,

Newbie on board here.

Am very tempted to unbrand my K850i from the Orange software installed, but it seems a daunting task!!!

Have any of you guys / gals unbranded an Orange network K850i and if so what benefits have you noticed.

Thanks in advance

Hey, I got a K850i from Orange also, and I was very frightened to de-brand, so I read up alot.

After ages I decided to take the risk, and I bought my credits.

You simply go through the process and select "WESTERN EUROPE - BLUE" or something similar to that.

The benefits are amazing, the phone operates much better.. it's alot faster, Flash Themes are made available, the horrible Orange Icons are gone, and all Orange stuff on the phone is gone.

I do recommend it, it's well worth it.

All I can say is WOW

Took the plunge, bought my credits from Davinci and unbranded my phone. It's now like a whole new phone. The produre was straight forward...although was I supposed to hold down the C button for the duration (15 mins ) or just when connecting the phone to the PC.

Anyway thanks for all the info on this board that guided me through it...is it now safe for me to update to the latest firmware from the SE site???

Cheers
