P1i Push Email with NEW Gmail IMAP? |

To activate IMAP on your google mail account, go into settings and change the default ENGLISH UK setting to ENGLISH US. Save that and go back into settings. You will find that IMAP is now active and enabled, I am now going to try setting it up. |

It worked for me only after i left AllwayOnPusEmail checked and Scheduled Downloads from 10 to 10 minutes.But i think i`ll go back to the old Get-Send, IMAP just drains my battery
I know this may not be the place to ask, but do you have any ideea why P1 does not recognizes the Equifax certificate that i was using on M600?No, it`s not expired

So lucky I live in HK, the data tariff is "reasonable", HKD100 can got 100MB data usage..
What operator do u use? I dont think HKD100 can get u 100MB...is 3 really that cheap? |

Push email is really nice!
I see one problem though.
Can you automatically inactivate it during the night? I dont feel like being waked up by some viagra mail. |

You actually set the hours during which the push is active, is in messaging in the control panel. |

I have a small problem with the push mail. Whenever I get a mail the e-mail aplication gets a certificate problem.
Does anybody have the same problem or know how to solve this? |

I get the same with Xchange Sync, I though it was an issue of my corporate mail server as when I do web access I get the same. Whils in Xchange Sync I just ignore the certificate problem and the email gets pushed ok

Why I'm still having problem with sending email via IMAP.. I just can received email but while sending the below error occur..
"The sending failed because the account has errors in its server setting"
My setting on P1i
Incoming Settings
Secure connection : SSL
Server Port: 993
Outgoing Settings
Secure connection : SSL/TLS (both tried)
Server Port: 465
Use MIME encoding : Tick/Untick (both tried)
Can anyone help me?

Already did. But same message appeared. What about "received/send using group" setting. It's affect gmail IMAP setting ?

Hi i have got a sony P1i unbranded the uk edition, i am using an o2 sim card but i can no get the email to function at all on imap or pop3 and it will not push, the only time i can ever get email is if i use wi-fi, can anyone help with any ideas at all please, i have a gmail account, have tried all the settings and ideas on this thread but it jst wont work, i normali get a time out error message, thanks |
