I'm told if you paid for the paypal transaction with a credit card you can claim your cash back off the credit card company for non-receipt of goods

They'll want you to claim it back off paypal but if it's outside the timelimit, you have recourse to the credit card company.

Hi I rang Visa yesterday and logged the problem and they have said they will try to get the money back. They are sending me a form to sign and said that when they recieve that back it can take five to seven days to get the money back if there is no problems.

Hi everyone the best thing to do is to call Hull police on 0845 60 60 222. Explain the situation and you will get a reference number allocated. If you also provide the reference of somebody else who has reported it it will add weight to the case against her as they can collate everything. My log reference is;

243 14/11/07

Please feel free to quote this to the police, i also know of other references that other people have received but i won't post them, but if you do have a reference given by Hull police i urge you to post it here and then people can use them when they get in touch.

I am still waiting to receive a call from them but i have been told by others who have been contacted that more people have come forward with complaints so they should have more power to do something. They police have also said that eBay have been rather unhelpful.

Hey Cilla!

back on topic, yeah all share your ref numbers and then when you call Hull Police quote each others numbers then they will know you're all together and not one single person they can "forget" about!

Can everone please contact paypal who paid for the tickets through that as if more than one person logs the complaint, the will refund the money. they sent the below:

Dear Emma Davies,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. I am happy
to assist you further.

We understand that you received an email from us which informed you that
PayPal is not investigating the dispute you filed.

Our policy is to investigate a claim if it has been filed within 45
calendar days of the initial transaction. Unfortunately, we received your
claim after the 45 day deadline and, therefore, we cannot look into this
claim. If it is still within 60 calendar days of the initial transaction
date and the item was purchased on eBay, please contact eBay for further
information as you may be able to file a claim with eBay directly.

We do reserve the right to reopen any claim for investigation within 180
calendar days if we receive multiple complaints about a particular seller.
We will contact you by email if this is the case.

I recommend to stay in contact with the seller in order to find a
resolution that you are both happy with.

If you'd like more information please have a look at our User Agreement.
You can find it by clicking on the link at the bottom of any PayPal page.
You will find specific information on the 45-day deadline in the PayPal
Buyer Protection Policy and PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Sincerely,
John

As many of you probably know, the police have received 8 complaints re. eBay fraud against this scum bag.

They do expect to find her in the Hull area and when they do, we will be told. At that stage, if we haven't managed to recoup losses via PayPal and credit cards etc. we can consider group civil action.

However, she may not have any assets for us to sue against!

As some of you have already seen on tripadvisor.com, she does enjoy her foreign holidays (claims to be cruising in the caribbean right now!) and the police told me that her landlord reported that numerous creditors have been pursuing her as she has unpaid credit card debts in the tens of thousands.

If eBay and PayPal are going to hide behind their 45 and 60 day rules, they should not allow the sale of concert tickets which are for events beyond those 45/60 days.

I will point that out to them when I write.

Yet another victim here!
I paid £245 for 2 tickets to Take That on 1st Dec. Although the concert has not happened yet I have received no reply to numerous e-mails to Debbie Shepherd and after reading this forum now know why!

I will report it to Hull Police and PayPal and post the reference numbers once I have done so.
