Be warned! If you buy this phone, it will poison you. You will love the camera but feel that something is lacking from the rest of the phone. But due to the large difference in quality between the camera in this phone and all other phones on the market, you will feel unable to use other phones again. So you will be stuck!

I agree abu, I also got mine from e-Bay new & unlocked for USD 267,90 + 30 shipping, and that included free 1GB microSD, free Sony headphones and free extra battery. But you have to be careful, with customs in your country, first check the customs and tax in your country. You see I must pay around 80 USD more because of the taxes in my country.I'm going to get the phone soon,in a couple of days. Can't wait!:)

I doubt it. As @tai020381 pointed out, even though he was still talking about CMOS sensors, Sony Ericsson will most likely not release any CCD-based camera phones. If they were to release a Cyber-shot camera phone using the same 5MP CCD module Sony delivered to i-mobile (902) or maybe even a newer generation of this module, there would be significant risk of these camera phones hurting Sony's lower-end digicam sales.

I mean, look at the samples @SaliH posted! Would you still be interested in a point-and-shoot camera if your phone could take pictures like these?

Case in point: consider the following two 640x480 crops of 3MP photos shown at 100 percent scale from two CCD-based cameras; one digicam and one camera phone. Can you tell which one came from a camera and which one from a camera phone?

the thing is that my k810i takes similar daylights pics then i-mobile 902, (its actaully true), BUT I-MOBILE 902 takes awesome night-pics/lowlight-pics (no doubt about that).

i "know" that i-mobile dosent take much better pics like this, (k810i is a awesome daylight-pics-phone). but the Night-pics, wooaaah, is awesome from i-mobile 902.

Guys, my i-mobile 902, finally came yesterday, and everything is ok, I got two batteries, sony headphones with remote, TV cable, 1 GB microSD card, 3.5 mm adapter, custom headphones that look a lot like HPM-70 & USB cable with it. But strange thing happened, when I turned my 902 on, I felt so nostalgic over K750i. I mean I really miss my K750i now, that I think I'm gonna buy another one once again, or mybee K800i. I miss those little things in SE menu. Strange feeling, when I sold my K750i to my friend's sister last night, I was so sad.
This probably means, that everything is not in the camera. SE please make a CCD phone, it doesn't matter how many MP, at least 2 MP!!!!

p.s. I'm gonna write my review of 902 soon!

The K810i photos look good when viewed at a small scale on a monitor. But what is the largest size you tried printing the photos at?

To each his own, but I agree with you. You really need to want a very good camera to accept the i-mobile 902. The rest of the phone is like a slow low-budget copy of the K750i. For me, the camera is the most important thing in a camera phone and the rest is secondary.

For me the camera and MP3 player are the most important things in the phone, because since K750i appeared I love 3 in 1 devices!
abu, can you give me some tpis, do you put saturation to low, do you use daylight and so on... when you tajing your photos? Thanks in advance!

Yes, I use the white-balance presets most of the time.
Daylight shots tend to be a bit overexposed so I reduce eV to -0.3. This I even do sometimes for night shots.
. . .
These settings I always leave fixed:
Image Quality: High
Sharpness: Normal
Saturation: Normal
. . .
ISO 200 is good for shots with more "action" but will also give more noise. This can also be used for night shots!
