Sounds like some people having second thoughts about their P1i purchases?
(Sh*t! This phone is crap! Maybe I can make it better with firmware from an entirely different phone?)

Can it be possible for a hacker to hack the W960's Walkman touch player and Media Manager GUI to P1?

Without the memory card working, you would only have 160 mb of memory to use?

If it is just the walkman touch player that can be 'isolated' from the W960 and installed on the P1i, the P1's operating system would be unaltered and you should still be able to access the memory sticks.

Don't know if this will ever be possible, wouldn't it be nice if SE would implement this in a future P1 firmware upgrade, probably not Here's for hoping!

not sure why you would want to put w960 firmware on a p1i? is the music player really good enough to get rid of the excellent qwerty keyboard?

I have read that you can actually flash the m600 with w950 firmware, and still retain the m2 memory and qwerty keyboard.

Now if it works going from w960 to p1i is another question.....

Well if "they" are able to flash a p1i into w960i as they did with the m600i into a w950i, imho i think it would be worth doing. You would keep the benifits of the p1i qwerty keyboard, irda, as well as expandable memory slot( i believe the rumors state that a new m2 8gb will be available this holiday season). and gain the new walkman feature as well as viewing movies at 30 frames per secound. It would be win win. This is of course assuming that they can replicate what was done with the m600i in the video a few post back.

Guys, just to clear thigs up, W960 has NO motion control (no accelerometer) and no media center GUI. (that's only the Walkman player)
