I called SonyEricsson support and the problem was new to them. They told me to try another SIM-card, so I ordered a new SIM-card yesterday and.... at once the same problem occured

do you use the gmail application?coz when i had it on my phone it was hanging everyday(note that the app i had installed on my phone was not compatible with my phone coz i could do that only by opera mini as when i tried to install it from built in opera gmail saied that my country is not supported??

I have gmail app installed in my phone since the day it was launched...no troubles from it so far.

al_1982a, I also have gmail installed and have no problems with it. Why should it complain about the country not being supported, that is odd? I just installed the English language version and it has worked fine from the start.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace  So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

coz i live in syria and google is an american corporation so my country on the black list (
so when i tried to install it by opera mini they(google)doesn't recognize from where i am,so they saied do you want to install gmail anyway?(the version they are offering by this way is not supported for p990,get me?

amanno1, that confirms what ares was saying about the fw being ready at the service centers. So they must be waiting for the go ahead from HQ.

damn seus, all my stuff got deleted in anticipation of a new firmware, when it was only R5, wonder why it said "update selected: world generic ", they could have just said latest software already installed, but seems like they just rubbing in the fact that we p990 buyers got ripped off, (i feel like we were used as guinnie pigs to optimise the upcoming p1 and w960), well anyway, release R6 already SE! |

My experience as well. SEUS no longer tells you that you already have the latest installed. It just goes ahead and reloads the same.

It said 'latest software already installed' when i flashed my p900/10i yesterday.So why not with the p990i??

yeah, it said latest software already installed wen i tried it with a z530, wen i used my w810 it actually downgraded the FW from R4EA to R4BD, had to flash it with XS++ to get back to R4EA, so why doesnt it say latest software already installed, would save so much of trouble, SE got nuthing better to do than laugh at people upgrading to the same, or even lower FW, wats the world coming to!! |
