Question 1)

So what is texting like? As i text more than call really. My last phone was a w800i which was really nice to text, curious how this new keypad design compares.

Question 2)

Anything that has annoyed you yet about the phone?

Cheers:)

Edit: 1)Texting isnt too bad. I think you just need to get used to the keypad as the keys are pretty small. I find myself pressing the wrong buttons around the d-pad, but not really on the number pad.
2) The only small (really small) gripe I have is that the keys arent "clicky" and are "soft". Not really a problem but would have perhaps made using the pad slightly easier.
All in all a great phone. Definately my favourite !
Oh and also the phone is very fast in the menus etc. Not had any bugs, lags or crashes etc.

Just a note about the IAC-25 active case. I bought this mainly due to the large compatibility with many phones. Before I knew I had won the W880 I was wondering about how it would work with the side connector. After looking closely at the case it appears that the correct way to use it is to have the screen facing towards the back with the phone either top or bottom up. I figured this because there is a soft material there whereas on the other side there is elastic.

As you can see below they have placed the connector in such a place that it can still be used with a headset! Well done .

nice pics Coxy! you have an impressive collection for your age!

PS, does the W880 seem loose in the IAC25? or is it a snug fit? [addsig]

Well Done cox

whats the price tab on one of those things btw?
it'd be darmed if SE are charging £300 for them considering the cameras only 2.0mp

£149.99 to £179.99 is more appropriate

@nanu*1

Hee hee! You shouldnt have any concerns the phones great!

@batesie

Indeed I do!

Yes it fits very nicely. You cant get the case to go as tight as the phones 9.4mm due to its length. But due to the flexibility and depth of the material inside the case (it can easily be reduced in depth for larger phones such as the W900) it hugs the phone nicely when the strap/flip is pulled down tightly.

@missy

Thanks

There around £300-£400 atm. One went on eBay for £820 a couple of days ago!!!

Tis nice for free in any case!

Good job I aint you then! I think people can say all they like but once you get a real on (not a dummy model!) in your hand it really feels good.

A stylish yet functional phone.

@MissUK

Compared to other slim phones out there its got a hefty list of specifications - so its a high-end fashion phone.

I would snap one up in a second.

Ive owned a few 2.0MP phones D600 and D750i/K750i outta those I prefered the D600.

now ive got the K800i I find it easy to snap piccys cos doesn't matter where you take them they turn out pretty good to make out!

D/K750i took some good snaps but I thought they were hard to get good shots from

I once had a V3 used it for 3hrs and put it back in the box what a shoddy phone, Only thin phone ive liked was Z650i with it's sensitive touch pad, shame it didn't let me use MP3's as ringtones tho.

SE have spoilt the W880i by not adding a better camera maybe a W890i will have a better one if it comes out still awaiting something that will beat Nokia's N95 ands Samsungs B600 (10MP Phone)

You seem to own a few phones Cox are they used for different occasions?

1 Decent phones enough I think

Goldenface,
yeah it's alrite for nothing don't get me wrong im just saying it's not worth the pricetab

I think if 02 offered me it as a upgrade I'd say no thanks lol I hope they offer me a free N95 end of year

At the end of the day the W880 is a slim walkman phone so the camera isn't on the main agenda!

A slim Cybershot phone may be on the way but with the need for a flash for top quality pic's they will have to find a fix around using bulky capacitors reqired for a xenon flash!
so that could be years away!

Especially as it was free

Well, i am 99% sure i am going to get one of these, as all i really want from a phone is something small and thin with half decent fatures, been waiting for ages for SE to do a phone like this as the only other alternative would have been samsung....been down that road and never again!

...now all i got to do is ring o2, get a black one, ebay it, then buy a silver one...heh

Oh one more question coxy, you dont want to swop your silver one for a black one next week?
