Okay, i just got home, after taking the phone to the place i bought it. they have taken it in, and will be sending it to Sony Ericsson on the 3rd of january, when they re-open. And after that, it might take up to 3 weeks to get back so, for now, I'm stuck with the Nokia 1100 they lent me (groan) THEY SPACE KEY ISN'T MEANT TO BE ON THE 0 KEY!!! roarrrr!!

I'm really worried that they'll just blame the fault on the modding I've done to the firmware, or having the case open... If they decide that it's my fault, it'll cost me 40 bucks just to get my phone back. man, this is turning into a potentially expensive, and very troublesome exercise... i think I'll stick with my stock firmware in the future...

Its the only importer just inside the door of the Sky City Metro building, and dont belive the other place when they say Sony Ericsson is back on the third and that they are sending it to them as they will have nothing to do with an importer and are already back at work in New Zealand.

hmm, really..? It's Parallel Imported Ltd. (the one on queen street) I was a bit sceptical about the big delay, but it's under warranty from them, so if they won't provide me with service, i'll go see someone else later. I'm absolutely loving my Nokia 1100 though i'm thinking of selling my k750 when i get it back and i'm gonna buy one of these little beauties for myself!!

I see you've read my thread.
If the lights flash the same for yours as mine, then I'd say that you do have the same problem as me. (I don't know the K750, so maybe the light isn't in the same place).

Plug your phone into your computer while holding 2 and 5. If your PC notices anything at all, then it means your phone still has some hope...

My k800i died tonight - 4th time in total.

I remembered a trick my service manager taught me for when other electrical devices; computers photocopiers etc. don't work.
Shorting the live and neutral lines of the plug to dissipate any residual current.

so....
I took my battery out and using a small spoon (closest metal thing in front of me) I bridged/shorted the contacts on the phone (NOT THE BATTERY - the metal pins which connect to the battery for power)

Put the battery back in and it worked.

Maybe if someone else has their phone die on them they could try this to either confirm or rubbish the idea!

===================================
It has to be said though that I can't take any responsibility for loss or damage etc. if you do decide to try it!
Have a look at some of the photo's on my site, they can be quite good (no adult content!)

Well, thats irony. my thread is up in the home page, just as i intend to update it.

Got my k750 back today, paid 60 bucks, and its fine. parallel wouldn't tell me what went wrong, but i'm happy as i now have two babies! a black and a white one! (racial harmony! )

happy happy happy
