On what do you base such a statement? The music player in K800 has somewhat less features than in a similar models. My daughter has a W300, forr example, and that music player has some extra features that the music player in my K800i hasn't, but still, the K800 has s a very capable music player, which handles play lists, can read ID3 tags, play by artist, etc. I use the K800 as a music player daily, and I have no problems with it.
On the other hand, since the original poster wasn't interested in using the camera, and didn't care for UMTS, then K800i IS a waste, or at least overkill.
In my opinion, unless you're interested in starting a long discussion, it does not make much meaning in askin a question like "which is the best phone" or "which should I buy", since there will probably be as many opinions aŽbout it as there are posters in the thread. Hopefully, most of the posters will vote for the model they own themselves. The "best" phone is very individual and based upon everyone's personal needs and usage of the phone. The best advice, I think, is to check out various phone comparison pages on the web. There is one on Esato, and another one at SonyEricsson's web site, for example. |

Well a reason why I have not ask for K750i is that it is not a walkman.
I think w810i is a great phone but I am starting to like the design of w850i and one that is cheaper that lacks UMTS is great.
Also those that have w850i
what do you think about the sliding funktion? is it good?
I really hate my phones now about calling someone because the keylock does not kick in immediately. and if you go to a meny the keylock function is disabled. Another reason why I am considering w850i.
Those that like m600/w950 isnt it a bit to wide? |

the biggest minus for me at sliders is the cable, what connects the motherboard to the dispaly. according my friends statement, he is a service guy, lately those cables are really weak and hard to get replacements. sometimes the third party ones are better then the generic ones

candy bar is the best form factor for a phone but i like slider more.
W850 certainly has better flashlite support and better media player.
W810 has a better camera and is now cheaper.
Choose as per your preference.
The fact remains that you will never regret a w810i. Its the best looking and user friendly SE ever. Its small and in candybar form. It has everything built in except support for stereo bluetooth headphones.
Get a w810 with 2 or 4 gb card now and use it for another year until a cybershot walkman comes along. |

I have now decided that I would like to have a
w830i
but since this is not available in sweden i will take a
w850i
instead
Since I can put a 2 GB memory card in it that is not a micro M2 and instead a duo pro
Also the keyboard is inside the phone and I do not accidently call someone because the keylock does not go in.
It is not that expensive
Thx for the help
