I compared the music player in my K790 and w800, and they are really the same, the sound quality is the same ( and even though some said the contrary...check on any review of webpages and youll see is the same) The only difference is that the k800/790 does not have megabass (wich I did not really used in my W800 |

Also the k790/k800i can decode AAC HEv2 files so producing a huge file size saving!
I personally wasn't a fan of megabass either
but anyone can achieve very good sound when equalizer settings are adjusted and encoded music is Normalized so files have an even volume
as some people complain there phone dosen't play loud enough for them.

So if I do what you said, Will that make the sound louder on the K800??
Because i'm torn between the K800 and the W850 and i want a good speaker sound not headsets, and a good camera and no body's answering my questions. |

Hi MAX PAYNE,
Using volume normalize will raise the overall volume of the encoded track to the loudest it will go without distortion,
so yes it should sound louder!
Hope this helps! Cheers, Dcuk |

There's a slightly bigger difference in functionality and grqaphical layout between the music player in K800i and the media player version 2 that you find in newer -branded models, like W850, but if you compare it to W810 or w300 that my daughter has, the difference is smaller. MegaBass is missing, and the up and down arrow function in "now playing" mode are missing on the k800. With those, you can scroll through the currently used playlist while the music is playing. On the K800, you have to leave "Now playing" (the music still plays though), remember which playlist you have chosen, and which track is playing, select that playlist and scroll down to the current track to see which is next. If Radom playmode is activated, you don't know which wil lbe the next track, though.
In the newer music player, you have a thumbnail pictures of the albums, you can |

the quality is amazing, im using MP4 AAC. the bad thing is that i cant organize my music... does anyone know how to edit the file information to put the name of the song, the artist name and the album name?
for mp3 files you can edit them by right-clicking the file and going to properties to edit but for mp4 files it doesnt have artist or album name... any help would be very appreciated.
thank you

If your phone is CID 49 you can flash it with w850i or w880i accoustics

aac files don't appear in my k800i's music player. if i browse it using the file explorer, i can see it, but i can't run it.
the file extension is .aac too.
any idea? |

you can use dBpoweramp to put the AAC file inside it's m4a container then it should work.
below dBpoweramp
http://www.download.com/dBpow[....]l-dBpoweram&subj=dl&tag=button
then you need these two, the last link is the utility to transfer AAC files in & out of their .m4a container (works like putting files in a folder)
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-m4a.exe
