Bored with SE especially the P990i. |

@voda-jon, the likes of SE give a near release date to keep you waiting for their product. if SE said a year ago that it would be september 06 then many folk would have gone out and bought a Nokia N?? or something else rather than have an 'old' P910 in their pockets. so when SE eventually graced us with the 990 the 'tech heads' would have something else already and would not be due an upgrade for 6 months or so.. |

but jus think if they had of released it on time then everyone who had one would b jus comin up for an upgrade an might get a new se like k800i or m600i but all they have done is keep people waiting an i know a lot of ppl have moved to HTC and windows based handsets whilst waiting!

I for one want to be a SE customer. SE products that come close to my liking are M 600 and W 950 but they lack advanced camera. Now I am waiting for a SE smart phone with Symbian 9.3 or a Window Mobile phone with Window CE 6 which should be on sale around new year. I admire the progresses of LG in development of touch sensitive phones especially in announcement of making smartphones using Windows OS. If this LG phone comes out soon enough I would be one of their customers.
So hurry up SE, Don't you have new smartphone with new OS like LG? |

SE smartphones\\phones are very good. I do not see any reason of getting bored with a SE. It has many things to be interesting to anyone. |

the windows based handsets r makin a very good name for themselves in the UK... dont know about the US an canada, might b different as UK ones get very different firmwares installed on them by the networks...
but going by sales an returns figures they r doin very very well in the UK...

I am a SE fan but i must say this NOKIA ROCKS THIS YEAR IN TERMS OF TECHNOLOGY,SE is nothing this year,the best SE smartphone p990 is sucks comparated with n80,and now new Nseries phones rocks again! Great job nokia

n80 better than p990??? in your dreams...maybe n93 can match, with different features
and your n73...my brother has one...image quality similar with k800, good OS...but where is a2dp???? My brother is pissed because he though such new device would had bluetooth stereo by now - but no, the so moder n series donīt have it, the first to have it will be n95.
I canīt see anything so much better from Nokia, besides the newly announced n95

i can't see from the spec's how much better the p990 is against the n80...they are pretty similar...except for the camera and wifi..990/b n80/g..
not including the touchscreen obviously..it's a uiq thing. |

hate to tell u this but a number of nokia handsets have had a2dp for a long time before SE... lets c we have:
N70
6280
both used to test how popular the a2dp would be and its not THAT important to have it as it drains battery reasonably quick jus like standard bluetooth does....

mem card support? SE phones use a propriaty mem card meaning very few 3rd party companies can make cheaper models... they are similiary priced to the Mini SD cards that the N80 uses so u cant use that as a plus point and Mini SD's in 4Gb an 8Gb are due to be announced shortly 
The full qwerty keypad aint nothin to shout about as its very small and alot of people find it fiddly to use!
A bigger screen aint all that if the resolution of said screen isnt up to much...
And again the camera does fall behind in quality of other 2Mp cams of same manufacturer...

lol no only the 8800 has a2dp and now the n95
the cam on the p990 is the same as the w810i etc..etc..
screen res is qvga same as pretty much all the nokias even the new n95 is qvga 240*320
4gb is out now for memory stick duo pro... mini -sd only has 2 gig currently
i've had no troubles using the p990 qwerty i think it's even better then the e61 keypad..
