its is actually the " extra initialization command " to be written down in the modem properties!
actually i'd written it for the sake of simplicity!
btw, the nokia's one touch access puts it in automatically once u configure just the apn ie. celloneportal in case of bsnl!

@dabisbad its better you try and experiment wit things. Then only you will be able to use it. Don't start lookin foolishly for people from west zone or somewhere else.
Don't you wanna be the very first person from your region to run this trick. Well i was from my city, and also from my state too.

hey shivam how much speed do you get by using this trick i mean average download speed. Is it any better than airtel live trick. Can we use p2p apps without tunnelling ? Thanks bro

@zolo the speeds are good and it rarely gives any server busy errors unlike airtel. But the problem is that not all the towers of bSNl support edge. And it also happens at times that due to some problem in network the gprs signals just vanish.
They are then seen the next day or so. So a thing of grave concern if you are a gprs addict.
I haven't tried any p2p applications. Btw i have posted a pic of ipconfig /all of this connection. See for yourself and tell me if it proves of any help or not.

I m from kerala.
Mine is postpaid.How can I activate GPRS.
Rest all I no,bcoz I use airtel love GPRS,. Pls help me...............
I am getting the error ----- > Packket data not avaialable.
I tried sending "PORTAL" to 3733.
I got a invalid request.

I am able to surf any site from Portal of Cellone on my PC. The only thing is that will BSNL deduct my balance for surfing from the portal ??

There's no chance Bsnl will dare to deduct a penny provided that you haven't activated the full fledged Gprs. In that case they will overlook the trick.. And will charge you routinely. But if you have got only the portal service activated then no deduction.
This trick will work on k750i

in this forum page 21 Sonagoblo says"5> IN UR PC MOBILE MODEM OPTION CHANGE UR APN" I don not understand it and i can not do it . I am using Windows 98 ands exploreer 6.0. This Bsnl Trick not works with me. whenever I connect to mobile by Pc dialing it dials but not connected.

Mr. Shivam I have wronghly wrote that in this forum Sonagoblu Says. But it will be the another forum of BSNL Free Gprs he says it.
My phone does not connected to computer( as it was said in Airtel that connection established and it is working ). So I Can not do it with BSNL please help I am Using K 300 i of Sony Ericsson, Windows 98, and Opera browser. |
