let us read the white paper for the composition of that RED LED. hope we can find somethin there.. does it heat up.. or explode... maybe not...

but just how it performs when used at a given time...

any ideas?

If a LED receives right power (as in an engineered device like this) it will last "forever". LED has an huge life span and it won´t be for some minutes of usage now and then that you will kill him.

Can anyone make a QVGA video java app?

Made a small midlet that makes the whole screen go white and then keeps it illuminated... for defusing that bomb I'd hold on to Torch though

Also changed the "Avsluta" <- Swedish, to "Exit" in Torch sence so many have been downloading it (2000+ and counting) and Exit is somewhat more understandable

Guys,

It is a simple LED. It will not harm your phone or cause global warming, or cause Tsunami's. It will just turn on, red, and show a spot of light. How many plan to let their light run all day long with the risk of it over heating.

I just downloaded it and it still says Avsluta.

The downside about it is since it is in the file manager, can't seem to create a shortcut for it in the shortcut menu

staffanp: I never noticed that it said Avsluta instead of Exit. Just thought it was translated by the phone since I'm from Sweden.

Hey staffanp,

just downloaded Torch.jar. Great little application, thank you.
Is there any way to add it to the shortcut menu?
