Found a torch, it uses the orange focus light.

Not bad, although has some annoying questions like allow app to read user data and take pictures

You can disable that > More > Rights > Multimedia options (No/Ask everytime/Ask once)

When you first turn it on it asks to allow app to take pictures, press no and nothing more happens, press yes it takes one and then asks to read user data then write user data. its quite good

as soon as i allow it to take pictures it takes one and then the light turns off, is this supposed to happen, also if i run the program with the camera cover open the light doesn't come on

i hope using it doesn't wear it down so it breaks sooner, does anyone know what kind of LED it is and can it hall long periods of use??

I wouldn.t get too concerned. The LED will probably last longer than you will own the phone for, obviously depending how long/often you use this app. Just dont do it for too long too often

It's made by staffanp from this forum. You should set all it's access requests do denied. What is does is that it uses the auto focus and therefore the led turns on.

red is good for night vision as you wont need to let ur eyes settle after u turn the light off unlike white light
