Ok. I don't know if this is normal. My organizer's got 2 lines. First one ending with R3A04, second one ending with R3B01.
iirc, there's only supposed to be one organizer version right? |

don't hold your breath, had a reply from SE, suggesting that my experiences with the phone are quite unusual :| which is quite worrying considering I only mentioned the memory leak issue :| the other problems I said they could find on various forums, posted by various users.
a new firmware was confirmed, but no eta.
losing interest fast atm, memory leak issue, responded to by suggesting to take the phone to a SE centre to check for hardware fault!? ok......
order for N80 and N95 coming right up.... the N80 will do me until the N95 comes out, and the N95 till the new communicator comes out. |

I seem to have gotten a similar update as you. Not entirely sure if it's "normal" or not but It seems to be running fine. Are you experiencing anything strange with the phone?

I sold mine today, i finally got rid of the crappiest phone ever got in my life. I got the P910i again. (much better phone)
Animated wallpaper, i can chose my wallaper inside the menu, i have the standby watch again. I have no crashing issue.
I personally do not care about the camera or WiFi.

I`m amazed at the problems people are having.The only thing i hate about the phone is the status light dont flash in standby mode like previous pxxx,ther`s no bluetooth light and when charging in off mode,the light stays on. |

Real tempted to sell my phone also.. Not sure what is the current market value for used P990i. Anyway, after so long, I am getting used to the phone. As long as I don't think about the money I spent on the phone or compare it with other smartphones, I am still a happy user.
If SE is to release a superb firmware that fixes most of the problems and at the same time giving us speed and stability, I believe I am a forgiving person. I would forget my disappointments and anger toward them and still be a faithful supporter. But please don't make us wait too long... |

I donīt have problems comparing it to other smartphones...even with imperfect firmware i donīt see anything that compares - ts+qwerty, bluetooth stereo, perfect one handed usage with fc, superb sound, great wifi, etc
But i do try to forget how much i payed, because now is much cheaper lol

After reading your posting, I must agree with you that the P990i hardware is really very well designed. When the screen of my old P900 because insensitive, I tried changing to other phones. Got a XDA, Nokia and finally Dopod Smartphone, but I must say that I kept returning to my P900 even though it is "faulty". I find that the P900 is really a very smart and easy to use device. I have been telling people how good SE phones are because of my wonderful experience.
Enough bad things have been said about the P990 and SE, I am not going to repeat as I am sure everyone here already knows. Okay, maybe I will try to be more gracious to SE, I will wait patiently for the next firmware...
Strangely, deep down in me, I still think that SE has the greatest potential in developing the best smartphones compared to the rest!
