Gentlemen,
May I ask one simple question?
If I debrand my vodafone K800 using wotanserver, then will the icons all revert back to the original pretty SE icons as on a vanialla phone?
Also more importantly, will the phone become SIM free?

No the phone will not be unlocked by debranding the firmware, but it will change the icons to the standard SE versions.
The only way you can currently unlock your K800i is to pay vodafone to give you the unlock code.

I got my k800i with swedish 3 branding today. After one look at the horrible 3 interface of the phone i debranded it. Everything worked fine and I've inserted all settings manually via the 3 website.
One question though. How do you get the "Playnow" icon to direct you to the 3 portal? That would be nice. |

Hi all,
Does the flashing delete anything off your phone - ie saved themes, pictures, music etc?
Also, are there any settings I should copy down before I go ahead with it? |

HI ALL
Just would like to know, if i pay 02 to unlock a k800i (obviously its 02 branded) will i be able to use a 3 USIM in it and access 3G services?
My mum is getting a k800 upgrade on 02 but unfortunately im locked into a 3 contract for another 12 months so ive gotta stay with them!! Any ideas how im gonna be able to get her upgrade working on 3?!

K800i 02 phones are not locked and have very minimal branding |

When debranding, does it delete any files such as mp3's, pictures or themes?
Also, Im currently on 3... what are the standard games supplied with the k800i? I believe the 3 firmware has 1 extra game but not sure which one...

Need some help desperately. I have debranded my k800 from 3, but now I cannot access the planet 3 web pages. I have tried the suggested settings but these do not work. Can anyone help? |

I came across this thread and I was a bit sceptical abouting debranding my new '3' k800.
I followed the steps and put back all the settings described in earlier in this thread (you need to make sure that the Internet Profile of Three WAP is selected to use the web) and it worked a treat.
I forgot to take the memory card and SIM card out though (it was late at night when I did it) and fortunately I only had one photo on the memory card. This seemed to be wiped but everything else was ok.
You can also go to the sony e website and they'll send you a txt msg with the settings for picture sending.

Just out of interest, what games come with the Sony Ericsson version of the K800i? I'm on Orange, and they gave me [Foto Quest Fishing], [Mini Golf: Castles] and [Tennis Multiplay]. |

Hi,
I am thinking of debranding my '3' K800i but have two question first...
1. What happens to the '3Player' icon? does it still take you to a web based player? or is it replaced with a media player type software as on my old w800i?
2. On the main screen where the link to 'planet 3' is at the moment...what does it say afterwards?
