Anyone used this yet? Is it safe? I'm a wimp, hehe

Would this also remove any locks the network have put on internet browsing? I'm sooooo desperate to get that sorted out...

Interesting. I have a spare Wotan Server credit, so I might give this a go ... if I am feeling adventurous! As I only got my phone today I think I might leave it a short time first though

I tried this last night, all work fine, the vodafone branding has now been reset to the original sony ericcson settings... far better in my opinion!

By the way this doesn't remove the SIM lock i.e. it is still locked to vodafone

did you have vodafone software on the phone before you did it or was it 02 or some other network provider. i brought my phone the other day and it has vodafone all over it and i hate it i want the normal sony ericsson icons and software back on it.
when you did it how does it work ??
does it totaly replace all the voda stuff with the sony ericsson??
oh and do you know if it makes a difference if its a uk phone?

sorry for so many questions but i really want to get it sorted and this seems like the only way but i dont want to bugger the fone up.

Does the de-branding mean you can't access Vodafone Live, or make video calls/general use of 3G services?

Also, I know this is a n00b question*, but if the phone is de-branded, can I then use SEUS to keep it up-to-date with the latest SE software?

*It's my first post here, though, so I would hope I can be forgiven.

I debranded my Vodafone K800i using this and I can still access Vodafone live and Mobile TV.

I had to get the settings resent to my phone from the Sony Ericsson website but other than that it worked a treat.

All i'm waiting on now is someone to start selling the normal keyboards as the red and green buttons no longer start and stop calls.

Not sure about SEUS yet as there isn't a new firmware available, but the phone did check itself over the air and says its software is upto date.

About 10 mins depends on your internet connection.

Took about 30 mins to receive the credits once i'd paid for them.

yep it will invalidate any warranty held with vodafone and Sony Ericsson as the Warranty clearly states that any tampering of Hardware or Software on the handset by anyone other than a Sony Ericsson Appointed Engineer will invalidate all Warranties held.

Voda's repair company are now aware of the de-branding services on the net and are checking all phones for signs of self done flashing. I.e. total call time being suprisingly low or totally reset to zero! (this can only b done via flashing the phone) and also by looking at the icons being used.

hope this clarifies for u!
