This question would be better suited in the The Official iPod users thread, as most of the iPod users here on esato are there.

On Topic: I use a 60 gig Black iPod Video. I've got 12000+ songs and about 5 Movies, 1 Season of Friends, and 1 season of Prison Break. Got about 9 GB of space still left.

@Fatreg: Your songs must be higher bitrate. Most of my songs are AAC@64kbps. Thats how I ripped them from the CD's. The songs I downloaded from the iTunes store are all 128kbps MP3's. Also iTunes converted all my WMA songs into AAC's at 64kbps. My iPod can hold 30,000 songs or 150 hours of video. Insted I have 12,000 songs, roughly 30 hours of video and 9 GB free.

That must sound terrible... I thought that 128kbps was roughing it. No offence, but what is the point of having your music stored at such an awful bitrate? Surely it must sound like s**t! Awful, in my opinion... Well, each to their own, and good luck to you. ???????

EDIT: (Debu) I can't quite believe your quantity over quality ethos... What is the point of having a crapload of poor quality songs (just for the point of having them? or what?).

128? I have everything at at least 192

As for the ipods, I have a 2GB Black Nano don't use it at all to be honest, a 30GB White Video, only music on that, don't mind throwing it about so use it places I don't mind it getting damaged, partied etc. And my main Black 60GB Video, use that for everything

@london-uk: Actually, 64kbps AAC is pretty much better then a 128kbps MP3, After all the main reason for shifting from a layer 3 format to a layer 4 format is to get better quality even on a lower bitrate. Also, iTunes by defaut converts to 64kbps. TBH I don't notice a difference even between either. (Maybe my ears are messed up )
