hi... i would like to ask, is it worth upgrading from an S700 into a W810? i like its features, the 2MP camera (although not CCD like my phone), expandable memory that's bigger than my phone, and smaller physical size? i would like to know if the W810 is as durable as my S700... thanks!

i'd say yes to all if i weren't a bit skeptical about the durability part.

hmmm... that sounds like the phone isn't that durable... well anyway, i went to our local shop here in our country, and i was given a dummy W810 phone to test. i must say the keypads are quite small and are hard to press, espepcially the volume keys... but that's just a dummy phone, a real phone could be different, but at least i got a preview of how owning a W810 feels... hihi...

@BUFFBOY man you've been whining about the walkman logo in the W810 a lot-even on another thread which makes me wonder, have you even held the phone in your own hand? if you did, it doesnt even look like a sticker-the logo actually appears to have been emblazoned right into the housing during production, with a plastic layer on top of it to prevent it from scratching off. Nothing like the quickshare sticker on the K700. Only time will tell if that plastic layer does melt off if you leave the phone out in the open sun, but as Eldar put it in the W810 review, it takes a fair bit amount of effort with a knife before the plastic comes off

I bet that...btw is there no way to put the sticker back on with a good glue or anything? I mean, it's kind of annoying how that sticker falls of from k700 for example, but it has a very good looking appearance imho . |

@vrl29 W810 is really a good upgrade, the only thing I might see you missing is the QVGA screen of the S700. apart from that, you'll be mighty happy with the W810! I don't have it, to give personal opinion but just by reading what everybody says, you get a general idea of how the phone is. cheers

well i've had the phone everyday for a good two months now (got em before they were publicly released, i work at a local carrier here and we do testing on the new models) and the sticker never showed any sign of coming off anytime soon |

with regards to the sticker issue: i find that the w810's follows the contour of the phone, whereas the k700's protrudes quite a bit, making it more susceptible to being pushed off and whatnot.

@mcrosser: thanks for the info, but i guess i'll have to wait a few more months before reconsidering trading my S700. it has a "sentimental value" for me right now, and i guess time will tell... for those people who have the W810 right now, i'm sure you'd be pretty happy to own one...
