EQO is not really a Skype client. You need to have the EQO software running on your PC at home. When you need to call someone, your PC makes the call, then _calls your phone_ and creates a conference call. Which means you need to have the SkypeOut service, and it means all calls cost money, unless you have a toll-free cellular number.

But from what I understood from the link you were supposed to be able to send messages to your Skype buddies. Will u need a pc-client for that too?

yup you'r right... if you go to the EQO site and click on the "what you'll need" link it specifies that you'll need skype out credits to use the service.

plus youll be charged incoming minutes from your provider (unles you have those free) plus youll be charged gprs (my provider 3cents per Kb) plus skypeout credits.

man how can anyone see this as a cost effective way to make calls. if i just dial long distance without any savings plans it will still be cheaper than this sht.

it will only be worthwhile for those with ultra cheap or capped data plans on mobile.
