I think typing on M600 requires a little practise. I think you can write a msg/mail a lot faster then on normal textpad(W950).

has anyone else not been concerned by the lack of soft keys on both the m600 and the w950 how is this going to impact navigation, I noticed it to on the flipless p990i but not to much of a problem as the flip has them, but nothing on the m and w ones????

any thoughts,

Maybe the three keys controlling the music player might act as soft keys?

I think those keys only apear when listening to music. The phone has a touch screen that is how you navigate through menues + there is a 3-way jog dial on both M600 and W950.

I think there is a button on the right side of M600 that is suppose to be a shortcut to email or something. I`ve read somewhere that you can assign some other shortcut to it.

You mean A camera full stop....

Well, then it would be the P990i with a 4gb memory card....

About the prices on the phones, i think the W950i will release with the same price as the current M600i, maybe very slightly more. But by then, the M600i will be much cheaper, and readily available from people who have a free upgrade but don't want a new phone etc....So the M600i will be cheaper still.

To be honest,

the only reason im even considering the P990 over M600... or in other words the only reason im considering the WIFI option

is that once skype releases a symbian version, WiFi + skype would rock my world ;p

i know 3G is there, but still alot expensive at the moment, just stop at nearest starbucks, get a coffee and call home (and home i mean another country)

and also using messenger browsing web etc etc.

just wish uk had cheap 3G like USA ;/

Does this mean that EDGE works instead of the WiFi / WLan?
Is it possible to get some kind of adapter attached to have WiFi as an option?
Is there any SE or other phone that offers WiFi and touchscreen with or without a camera .. I mean, not the P990.

Cheers

For me it has to be the W950, touchscreen plus the keypad is actually flush and IMO much smarter looking than the M600 arrangement. Plus of course 4gb of internal memory so no need for memory cards is great. I just hope as the 3rd release of UIQ3 lessons will of be learned and fixed from the M600 and P990 but i will still wait till its been out for a while to make sure and then i can return to SE i hope.
