You will probably be able to buy 2 W950 (4 GB each) for the price of one 8 GB MS. It will probably take one or two years befor 8 GB MS can be bought at a reasonable price.

W 950 is an impressive phone but still not to my liking. I want to buy
an SE smart phone with 3.2 mp, auto focus, flash and zoom and also with
built in GPS.
Only at this level of specs can SE stops the tide of WM 5.

who's a greedy boy then lol
i'd love a camera on it, but i'm not that bothered.
my main likings are the pda/walkman things, and because everything about it is so advanced and cool.

Other than business software differences, does anyone else other than me not see the point of the M600i anymore ?

It just seems like the W950i has everything the M600i has, and more (4gb memory etc).

Sure, business users would be put off the W950i by its Walkman branding and looks, but is that the only difference ?

i'm guessing it would probably be cheaper too since it only has 80mb memory and a low capacity M2. the M600 would probably be a better fit with corporate budgets, while the W950 would be priced more for individual buyers who don't have to justify it to their bosses.

that's just my speculating tho...

The point im getting at is software differences, primarily regarding the OS.

For example, when the Nokia 7610 was released, everyone was disappointed that it wasnt as good a business phone was the 6600, because it lacked functions in its OS that the older phone had, which mattered to business users.

While i think these are very good phones in their own 'niche' markets, for me the so called Evita (K750i replacement??) will be the main model to look for (apparently to be announced 28 Feb).

@Batesie,
Well perhaps a bit! but the W900 always did look a bit odd to me, and felt huge in the shop. Take your point about 6Meg cards soon but at what price? and for most people a 4 meg device is going to look very good compared to a flawed Ipod Nano.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

To me a 4Meg player is useless, I would prefere a 4 gig player.

the primary objectiv of w950 is to go compete with the ipod, thatīs what i think, thatīs why they didnīt put the camera right now

i like the k610i but i dont like the memory card m2's, so f**k it, i'll stick to my N70 just now and wait and see if anything better comes along, the m600 and w950 are just too damn big for a phone, its the size of an ipod, and i won't be making calls on that, so il stick with my 2gb mem cards for now
