It may just be the lack of lens cover and therefore slightly different design that reduces the thickness by 1mm ?

well... the w810 has 2 extra buttons... idk i dont think it will work.

I only see one extra button. Besides, Im sure a modded firmware for the W800 will be out soon, probably someone like DaVinci will be releasing it if anything, that wouldnt surprise me.

Besides, what would be the benefit of flashing a W800 to a W810 anyway? Both already have the walkman media player. Im sure the W810 themes will be available for the W800 at some point anyway.

I dunno about you guys, but i cant play Super Real Tennis without a joystick, so I think I'll stick to my W800!!!

pls take note

w800 using joystick
w810 is using navi key or d pad.

next to the softkey on w810...there's two extra button

no walkman button at the centre

SO...how to convert?

unless it is using 3rd party redesign housing

Curiosity killed the cat I guess we will have to wait and see if its going to possible. Changing keypad PCB etc was possible with T610>T630, however im aware that the extra button, joystick, layout etc may cause different problems. Food for thought...

another thing, w800/k750 has around 30mb+ internal memory, while w810 has only 20mb+.......

it's the frimware that is bigger.
Maybe we can change the keyboard pcb, change housing and flash ours k750/w800s to w810i.

leenus, welcome to esato

Well said !

It's always difficult when a new or revised product appears on the market, but I think this is the correct way of thinking for most of us,a few days ago (prior to the w810 being mentioned) were over the moon with our w800's.

Other than the colour of the new design which I like very much, there is nothing else that would make me want one at the moment.

In my opinion... "converting" a phone is the lamest thing to do. Even by software, as users with K750 changing to W800 firmware (sorry mates ), but is reaaaally lame men; stay with your phone! If you change software / hardware, you will have have of one phone, and half of the other, plus, it would only 'look' as if it was, let's say, w800, but will still be a k750 down in the bottom of it...

Shame on you!!!!

i disagree, i mean some people dont like the look of the W800 but want the features, ie walkman media player, flight mode, so its good for those people to have the chance to do it. Plus, let people do what they want to their phone, i mean afterall, it's their phone! Who's to criticise??

W800 is the original walkman phone and better looking than the W810 IMO [addsig]
