I have DOUBTS if this will be REPEATED (multi-color-covers) in the V3i model [addsig]

I think the V3i is pretty much the exact same phone as the V3 in terms of looks and stuff, a few functionality upgrades. I think the only reason its there is to provide an upgrade option for V3 owners, who may perhaps be looking at a better camera, or expandable memory in their next phone, but like the whole RAZR thing.

There's no surprise to me why Motorola have released this phone.

V3 owners looking to go 3G are also catered for with a RAZR V3x (2 megapixel camera with flash on that one)

sorry, I sent mine V3i back to expansys yesterday under their 21 day "no fault" return policy. I decided that my old V3 was good enough for backup and the £300 spent on this was wasted. Plus I still prefer the shiny silver on the V3

on the other hand... I have a Nokia 8800 arriving today so I'll be finally having a good play of that tonight!

Is this an old phone? Or did motorola make a model like this one before? Because about a year ago I held a Motorola just like this one in my hands and was thinking about buying one, but later went for the qtek 9100.
I'm puzzled. =)

the V3i is an upgrade to the original V3 from a year ago. it has a 1.3 megapixel camera vs vga, external memory via transflash, video recording and a few other tweaks but the user interface is much the same

all in all I decided that it wasn't worth the £300 I paid and expansys have happily taken it back. I may wait until the V3i is at the current V3 price level and get another but for now I have receoved my 8800 and am just charging that up ready for a play so maybe another "first impression" thread coming up soon!

Well Moto Norway finally managed to install correct sw on my v3i, and I`m now good to go...

Now installed norwegian language pack, and everything works flawlessly.

I disagree with you masseur. I think the v3i looks are far better than the original v3.

Just my couple of cents

reeli cant see the point with the v3i, mearly a phone behind the times in my eyes when bringing out an upgrade with a 1.3 cam rather thn a 2.0, and only adding external memory now...for a high end phone, the basic v3 must have sucked at the time...:s

ah well, never been a fan of that flat keypad anyways
