NTT Docomo has created an environmental friendly mobile phone called the NEC N701i ECO.The phones plastic body is made from plant raw materials consist of starch and sugars of corn and potatoes.At the end the mobile phones life it will become water and carbon dioxide after being disposed.

Sony have been working for a while now on corn based blu-ray disks each disk has the potential capability of holding 25GB.
