i just received a call from my SE service center whereby R1AA008 available in thier EMMA III server for K750i... no news about W800i yet... how come ya W800i have R1AA005?

R1AA has reduced teh phone volume of my W800i (Vodafone) to its bare minimum. Its barely audiable even at full volume. Now When I try to upgrade it agaon, it sayd my operator isn't supported.

wow, weird reports here.
On my w800i, the MS corruption appears to be fixed, but speeds have been reduced to USB1.1
The sound in the walkman through the internal speaker appears to be louder (although that could be just a louder MP3). |

I talked to Sony Ericssons swedish customer support five minutes ago. They told me that they are going to put R1AA008 on their servers somtimes during this week. They also told me that this new firmware version should fix the file transfer bug. |

I am on vodafone in the UK and have a W800 I got in August. I tried to upgrade my firmware for the first time yesterday and got the "There is currently no service for devices belonging to your operator" message someone else in this forum reported earlier. Pain in the ass.
Am currently on R1L002
Does anyone know when this is likely to be sorted out? |

I'm wainting with high expectation the comming f/w release for not-branding w800's.
The minimum requirements that I demand to this new r1aa008 version are:
1) A normal transfer of data through the USB cable at USB 2 rates, that is, the elimination of the MS bug without downgrading the USB speed.
2) The removing of the noise/hiss/static that is present when you are using the Walkman functionality.
3) The elimination of the loud click between songs when using the Walkman.
If these problems are not solved I will feel quite dissapointed and if SE official technical service does not downgraded for free my phone to the working formware, that is, the R1L, I will think about get back my money due to a faulty product. 379 is a proper figure for having a product without so many problems.

Just talked to SE Call center in sweden. The F/W is released to theire service centers. And can be expected sooner this week on the webpage.

Couldnīt agree more with you guys! Since the firmware for vodaphone doesnīt seem to fix more than the file corruption bug(and hardly even that) from what iīve read in this thread and others.
So i will at report SE to the institution for consumers here in Sweden if they doesnīt fix those issues that OSEDelta mentions plus the lesser light sensivity in the camera.
As i said earlier: Gloves are off! |

just talked to SE in sweden thay said that the have the new firmware on service but not on the server and i asked him when it will be on the server and he said it can take days til it come out or even months he said

She is that surely they do not pay to them and for that reason they make the things so badly.

Have also recieved confirmation from SE that the firmware is already released

well from what have been written so far about the firmware that has been released for vodaphone phones, it doesnīt seem to be a good idea to upgrade if you have the firmware R1L002. For us others that allready have upgraded to the later firmwares...well we have nothing to loose by trying to upgrade and see if something has gotten better....wich i doubt it has. |
