First up a big THANK YOU to all who helped me install the EPIUSB driver, appreciated.

However, i've just updated my phone using SEUS, and its updated it to R1AA008? is this a brand new firmware update? I've searched on the forum for this firmware, and it doesnt exist.

It certainly not the same as the one on the W800i with the memory stick corruption over USB, so has this finally fixed it???

Heres hoping...

Can you lookup the 2 firmware filenames in the SEUS software subdirectory, usually in C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\

Thanks!

The 2nd file shows that your firmware is intended for VODAFONE branded phones. Apparently your CDA string is CDA102425/13 as can be found here http://www.se-world.info/cda-strings.php?device=14

SEUS checks both the IMEI (first 6 digits) and the CDA string. It's relatively easy to manipulate the CDA string. Manipulating the IMEI is a tat harder

Thanks for the filenames. Downloading them right now.
