I had a very bad experience with a SE service center too. It took month to get my phone back and fixed. But I would not want to trade it for any other phone on the planet.

Maybe u shud choose a different network? I never had any major probs wiv Orange, they seem to test their phones a lot before releasing them. O2 seem to be 1st to release new phones, and 1st with bugs too. Makes sense to wait that bit longer ;-)

@masseur - I am very certain that you had quite an experience with your Motorola V3 RAZR back then . . . 'LOST' signal which the shop eventually - replaced . . . I guess that having that kind of experience is - WORST than what the author of this thread's dilemma.

AT LAST - the SESC called me today to let me know my K750 was fixed.
I drove in, turned it on, turned on BT and the phone locked. It has to go back into the repair system from the start, and I shouldn't expect to see a replacement until 2006.
Utter sh!te.
Yet another complete waste of time and money. Still no phone. What do I have to do to get a working SE phone?
The tech at the SESC did say the following:
"None of the K750/W800 firmware works properly"
"The current SE phones are very unreliable"
"The 6230 is the least reliable of all manufacturers phones"
Interesting...

Hmmm, SE seems to be well on its way to becoming legendary with tidi excellent after-sales service :-) Have you considered going back there, and refusing to leave until they give you something brand-new that you'd be happy with? In your place i'd stay in the SESC making a terrible fuss until i had proper service, regardless of which promises they might make. I'd invoice em for travelling costs as well... If there's one thing we need to learn, we don't have to accept shoddy service and/or products.

Kryptic,
It's all to do with our (UK) laws. We can demand a refund or replacement for up to 2 weeks, then it's a free repair service for a year. |
