brownlad007 was banned 19/10/05
this is because he posted on religious topic when he was asked not to, he then pm'd massuer and had said he will not do anything on the religious thread to offend anyone in anyway from now on, massuer gave no reply after a good few hours. he then posted asking someone which religion they believed in and was banned.

if you would like Brownlad007 un-banned and think he is a good memeber at esato, please leave a comment on this thread,

thank you

To be honnest, I dont have a religion, but I dont think its fair to make comments on other peoples unless they go agains human rights. The world has enough problems without racial/religious (not sure what its called) discrimination. I don't see why every one can get on with each other as we are all the same, my blood is red like all of yours. I dont know if I would want to be dealing or talking to people who fight over something so petty.

but I have talked to him on msn and he seems like a good guy, just annoying when he sends me a billion messages

Will he actually get un-banned if there are enough posts here?

i dont think i have personally talked to him, and i dont regularly go to that thread, but i think a warning was enough for him. Esato is a place for people to talk... yes, mainly about SE phones... but we have the many off topic threads, so IMO, he should be un-banned. HOWEVER, lets let masseur have a say, and see if there is more behind this story. (noone get mad at me... but i just want to hear what he has to say) but, i do think he should just have a warning and be un-banned

in the past the first banning is usually lifted after a couple of weeks or so unless it was for something really bad. subsequent banning is then permanent. i do not know if this practice is still used.

well from another point of view. I dont know if the extreme of banning him was appropriate, but I'm assuming it was done because he was asked multiple times not to post in the religious thread.

Brown did offend alot of the members there and I think you had a hand in that too Jagger.

You see, if we could have all been in agreement with each other and respected each others wishes without the sarcasm then I'd say everything would have been alright in my opinion.

If a moderator bans someone then they usually have a good reason for doing so. Threads such as this serve absolutely no purpose because the moderators are not here to pander to people.

Having had personal experience of the thread in question I have to say that brownlad was behaving rather pathetically in it. Having said that I hope his ban isn't too long and he can rejoin us soon sans the pathetic attitude in the religious thread.

initially, its a 3 day ban only after which he will be back, if he chooses, but with the same restriction that I gave him which caused the ban.
