I was also skeptic when i first heard about it. pero nung dumating na sa amin yung unit.. hehehe, hindi na naalis sa tabi ko..
I've never been to Nueva Ecija. yung family ko kasi hindi masyadong mahilig mag travel, kaya palagi lang kaming nasa house.. June.. hmm.. mabilis lang lumipas ang panahon.. you'll never know pag gising mo, june na pala..

It will take time bago nila ma appreciate yong unit, once the word of mouth will spread like fire, be prepare maraming bibili nyan. Baka yong landline nila ipaputol na,
Nong unang nakita ko yong Unit sa post mo it reminds me my very first cell phone way back 1989, yong Diamondtel. Behira pa lang gumagamit ng cell noon, mostly doctors or lawyers or businessman lang. Ngayon kabaliktaran be-bihira na ang walang cell phone.
Your right about that June is right around the corner. I will give you a buzz bago mag bakasyon, will have a few drinks or perhaps a round of golf.
Malapit lang ang Nueva Ecija sa Manila pero yong traffic, I think 110 kilometers lang ang layo pero 5 to 7 hours travel time, yong distance nayan I can take it in 45 minutes.
Ngayon ko lang naman na pasyalan ang Pilipinas, dati kasi sa hirap ng buhay sa libro ko lang nakikita yong lugar. Nong nagkaroon ng chance sinubokan kong pinuntahan ang Luzon, Visaya & Mindanao in three consecutive years. Doon ko nakita yong ganda na Pilipinas.

For those who cannot get a signal on their respective area, instead of mounting an external antenna aren’t the service provider provides or the person should request a signal repeater to benefit the service?
Most service provider/s will be glad to provide such request because its less overhead (the requester will absorbed the electric bills w/c very minimum) & it will benefits them to improved their coverage.

Just received my unit last week. So far so good naman sa peformance. Parang conventional PLDT landline na rin pag sa bahay lang. Outside, I’ve tried Ortigas Center, Makati, Marcos Hi-way up to Cherry Grocery Antipolo..full signal naman. Any news when can we expect interconnection to cel phones” Anybody? |

Is it true that they're now issuing out phones with RUIM (aka SIM cards)?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of this? |

has anyone tried using airnet beyong alabang (ie binan, sta rosa or cabuyao)?
by the way, digitel is also offering CDMA technology in Laguna and number starts at 049 (area code of Laguna). Costs about 600++ monthly and one time cost for the unit (ZTE) of 5100. Tested the signal and only got 2 bars and was able to make a call (long distance to a PLDT line in Manila). Did not test if i can use this for data though.
we do not have cables (landwires) in our area so i do not really have much option. Checked with Smart WiFi and our place is not covered.
Any suggestions?

smart wifi coverage does not include our area (weak signal)
i will probably try Globes GPRS. or maybe use an external antenna with Digitels Mango to increase signal strength.
Dream also offers something using a bigger dish however cost is prohibitive. (70K installation cost0 and very high montlhy rates
Belle Telecom also has data capability using their WLL antenna but signal is not very stable in our area as it relies on a line of sight connection.
I also heard that Globe is curently piloting a WiMax technology in Cavite. Anybody heard of this as well?
